Ophthalmologists

Glaucoma
There are many common eye diseases such as Glaucoma and Dry Eye Syndrome that we diagnose on a daily basis. These conditions may manifest with symptoms such as eye irritation or redness, or they may have no symptoms and can only be detected with examination and testing.
Macular Degeneration
We manage many common medical eye problems such as dry eyes, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. We stay up to date with the latest medications and other management options. We also have a network of sub-specialists who help manage specific problems that may require a more specialized approach.
Laser Eye Surgery
Dr Jamell performs the modern “no-blade” LASIK procedure which has been recently described for its greater accuracy and safety.
Cataracts
We offer the latest implants and laser technology to give patients access to the many advances that have occurred in recent years. Dr. Jamell performs the “no blade” LASIK procedure, and he is a happy LASIK patient himself. He also performs modern cataract surgery where patients can often achieve excellent visual improvement with very little recovery time.
Cataract Surgery
Dr. Jamell is a trained eye physician and surgeon. We therefore are able to perform many common eye surgeries such as cataract surgery with implants as well as LASIK to try and reduce the dependency on eyeglasses and contacts. We evaluate each person individually in order to determine if surgery is the right option for their particular condition.
Eye Exam
Routine eye care is very important to our general health. Depending on a patient’s age and other medical conditions, a regular eye exam should be performed about every one to two years or sooner if other problems are present. Often times, a regular eye exam may detect problems elsewhere in the body such as diabetes or high blood pressure. Consider asking your primary care provider if you should be screened for any conditions or medication issues.
