Dental Examination
When plaque and tartar are left on teeth and gums, periodontitis may develop. You can reduce your risk by brushing twice and flossing once daily. You should also have a dental exam and professional dental cleaning at least twice yearly.
X-rays
We use digital x-rays, which have several advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from with traditional dental x-rays. The worry of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.
Oral Cancer Screening
Our patients' overall health is our number one goal. We routinely perform Oral cancer screening examination to look for signs of cancer or precancerous conditions in your mouth. The goal is to detect precancerous lesions at an early stage when they're easiest to remove and be cured.

Teeth Cleaning
We use ultrasonic scalers for most adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and periodontal disease. The ultrasonic cleaners create microscopic bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, killing microbes and removing plaque and tartar in the process. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help maintain optimal gingival health.
Dental Sealants
Sealants are generally used to help prevent tooth decay on the biting surfaces of back teeth (molars). The natural grooves of these teeth can trap food that can resist casual brushing and rinsing. If left in place, the trapped food allows bacteria to multiply, eventually causing tooth decay and requiring costly attention.

Veneers
Dental veneers are custom-crafted porcelain laminates fitted by a dentist over the front of an existing tooth. They bond directly to the front of the tooth, dramatically enhancing its shape, color, and appearance.
Crowns
Crowns are used to restore severely damaged teeth due to fracture or decay. After the tooth surface is cleaned and prepared the crown is placed to cover the remainder of the tooth. Sometimes tooth trauma such as a fracture can lead to the need for a root canal as well. Deep Cleaning
The most common treatment is deep cleaning or scaling and root planing. Our experienced hygienists can perform this gentle and effective procedure, which is removal of tartar from the teeth surfaces as well as the roots.
