Rice and Tea

When we saw the facade of this restaurant, we were impressed, thinking that this is a better alternative to Mott Street in Chinatown, Manhattan, NY, because of the availability and free parking area.

Upon entering, we noticed that the place was topsy turvy, as there were 3 counters selling a cacophony of chinese food, dishes and pastries, and the floor was sticky and dirty.

We ordered a combo, consisting of rice with 2 choices of viand. The food was oily, tasted MSG and has no distinctive taste that will make you come back and yearn for it.

The toilet smelled and was dirty.

There are 2 tables with several chairs by the sidewalk, to entice customers. But if you sit there without buying anything, the person in charge will shoo you like a dog, without any iota of respect, even if you had been a customer before, just like what happened to us.

Very rude, impolite and discourteous staff, including person in charge.

We wish we never went to this restaurant.
