Intravenous sedation is a reliable and effective means of producing sedation. There is rapid onset of action, however a great deal of co-operation is required to allow venepuncture. Midazolam is the most common drug used and again patients must be accompanied, and should not drive or operate machinery for at least 12 hours. IV sedation is good for patients who do not wish to remember anything which has happened, and for this reason can be a benefit for long or difficult procedures like complex oral surgery.

Orthodontics
The porcelain covers the whole of the front of the tooth with a thicker section replacing the broken part. Veneers can also be used to close small gaps, when orthodontics (braces) are not suitable.
