Bay Family Eye Care

Beware!We went there for years and it seemed every visit she suggested we have some test or another done. We were always surprised as we didn't think we had any vision problems and were just trying to be diligent with an annual exam. We didn't know any better. But after she recommended glasses for the whole family and only 1 of 4 of us had any complaints with our vision and I noticed her husband working in the office I became suspicious that perhaps business was struggling and she was trying to get insurance money by ordering unnecessary things. I started to talk to others who went there and read reviews that suggested the same. I transferred care to another Dr to get a second opinion...everyone's eyes were fine! None of the conditions she suggested were found to be true by the other, very reputable Dr. Not to mention the wait time at the new office I see and my husband's frames for readers are a fraction of what we paid at bay family. Perhaps, Dr.King is just very very thorough and aggressive with treatment and I am not one to write bad reviews on people but I would not be surprised if at some point this business is deemed fraudulent.

They will tell you they need to run necessary tests and everything will be covered. In 30 days you will get a bill for hundreds and hundreds. If you don't pay what THEY think you owe, you will be sued (check out Maryland public court records) -but the last few adjudicated cases were dismissed, looks like bay family didn't have a very good case. It is all about the money here. There are much better choices in this area for eye care -- don't waste your time (or money) with Dr. King and Bay Family Eye Care. I am a little surprised Dr. Mok is still around to be associated with this outfit!

Extremely sloppy. They misdiagnose my prescription, doesn't resolve it for a month, and now I'm being charged extra for it. They also never mentioned that I get discount for my contact lenses if I get them with my glasses until months after I got my glasses. Their practice is sloppy for the ridiculous amount they charge for the extra exams that they make you go through. Do not, I repeat, do not go to this place if you care for your optical welfare.

I just want to say how wonderful the last 6 months have been by going to Bay Family Eye Care. My son was diagnosed by Dr. May and has been undergoing Vision Therapy weekly for the last 6 months. It has been life changing for him. Before, he had every thing on the list that Dr. May gave him on the the list of questions. Today, he has no headaches, no double vision, no blurry vision. His attention to detail is improved. His grades in 8th grade are the BEST he has ever had! I had the pleasure of sharing this tonight with Dr. King, we high fived over his progress. Also, the staff is phenomenal. They recognize me EVERY week with a hello, how are you, etc. Once again, I am so thankful!!!!!

I just moved to Maryland by far this has been the worst place I have ever gone to get an eye vision XM my son was the patient and it was all about the money bulling sure stuff that was never done to us I was so disappointed Dr King the staff was horrendous very unprofessional mest up my insurance information sent me bill even though I have TRICARE which I do not pay for my vision exams along with that I spoke to her over the phone she was so rude and arrogant I just didn't understand why she was like that so if this is the place you want to go where they do fraud claims it's the best place to go
