Medical Weight Loss
The best candidates are in good physical condition with pockets of fat or loose skin that haven’t responded well to diet and exercise. Patients who intend to lose a lot of weight are also encouraged to wait before undergoing the procedure, since skin in that area typically loosens after substantial weight loss.

Pregnancy
Labor and Delivery
Most women find that their breasts swell to a fuller size and shape while they are pregnant. Afterwards, a natural reduction in breast size leaves some women with the empty-looking, drooping breasts discussed above in the breast lift section. For many other women, however, the breasts remain larger than desired after childbirth. Breast reduction surgery may be the solution in these cases.

Ultrasound
There are several different methods surgeons use when performing liposuction, including tumescent liposuction, the super-wet technique, and ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL) or power-assisted liposuction. In all types a tiny incision is made in as inconspicuous a place as possible. A cannula (small tube) is inserted and moved back-and-forth beneath the skin, breaking up the fat layer and suctioning it out. Tumescent liposuction and super-wet liposuction use fluid injection, which facilitates fat removal, reduces blood loss, provides anesthesia during and after surgery, and helps to reduce the amount of bruising after surgery. UAL liquefies fat with ultrasonic energy and is highly precise.
MRI
No, as long as there are no problems with the implants, they should not have to be replaced. The FDA now recommends that every few years the patient undergo evaluation and investigations like an MRI to evaluate the integrity of the implant especially the silicone gel implants.
Mammography
Because breast implants are prone to these and other complications as well as simple wear and tear over time, it is incredibly important that all breast augmentation patients have check-ups every few years after surgery to ensure that their breasts and implants are healthy. These should include physical examination as well as imaging with ultrasound, MRI or mammography. In addition, most augmentation patients will need follow-up surgery at some point in their lives to replace their aging implants with new ones.

Ear Surgery
Ear surgery typically serves two functions: setting prominent ears back closer to the head, and reducing the size of large ears. Surgery may also be helpful for “lop ear,” “cupped ear” and “shell ear,” large or stretched earlobes, and lobes with large creases and wrinkles. Surgeons are also able to construct new ears for patients who are missing them from injury or other causes.

Botox

Brow Lift

Eyelid Surgery
Eyelid Surgery: Droopy upper eyelids and puffy bags under the eyes can make you look older and more tired than you feel. “Blepharoplasty” or eyelid surgery is the most commonly performed facial plastic surgical procedure. By removing small amounts of excess skin and fat one can transform the eyelid region to a more youthful and refreshed look.
Liposuction
Women who also suffer from areas of fat in the abdomen or flanks after pregnancy may benefit from liposuction.

Breast Augmentation: Breast augmentation can enhance your appearance, improve your self-confidence, and broaden your ability to wear different clothing by changing the shape and size of your breasts to better match your body style. Breast augmentation is also used to rebalance a voluptuous figure, correct lost volume resulting from age or pregnancies, and balance asymmetrical breasts.
Breast Reduction
Breast Reduction: Large, pendulous breasts may cause a woman to potentially experience various medical problems caused by the excessive weight of the breast tissue. Problems with posture, skeletal deformities, back and neck pain, and skin irritations are common with this condition. Bra straps often leave indentations in the shoulder area. Many women, especially teenage girls, are very self-conscious because of their unusually large breasts. With breast reduction surgery, women of all ages are able to have breasts that are better shaped and in proportion.
Breast Lift
Breast Lift: Over time, the effects of gravity along with the loss of the skin’s natural elasticity begins to have an effect on the appearance of a woman’s breasts. These factors, combined with pregnancies and nursing will often cause the breasts to lose their youthful shape and firmness. A breastlift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts. The procedure can also reduce the size of the areola (the darker skin surrounding the nipple). Breast implants inserted in conjunction with a mastopexy procedure can increase both firmness and size.
Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty: Rhinoplasty is performed to change the appearance of the nose to be more aesthetic and pleasing. Sometimes the hump is removed, usually the nose is thinned out at the tip and slightly elevated. It is usually necessary to narrow the nose at the time of surgery. A splint and packing are removed by the 5th day and most people are presentable in approximately a week to 10 days. If you have difficulty breathing, your insurance may pay for a portion of the procedure.
Breast Reconstruction
Women whose cancer seems to have been eradicated with mastectomy are the best candidates for breast reconstruction. Those with health problems such as obesity and high blood pressure and those who smoke are advised to wait. Others prefer to postpone surgery as they come to terms with having cancer, consider the extent of the procedure, or explore alternatives.
Plastic Surgery
The length of time for recuperation after plastic surgery varies depending on the procedure. Most patients will require assistance for a day or so before being able to care for themselves. We will discuss your postoperative care and recovery in detail. Patients can usually return to work fairly soon after surgery.
Thigh Lift
In a medial thigh lift (inner thigh lift), the surgical incision is made in the inner thigh along the line where the leg meets the groin. In a lateral thigh lift (outer thigh lift), the incision is made from the groin around the back of the body, so that the buttocks are lifted along with the thigh.
Face Lift
Aging, weight changes and facial volume loss can create a deflated face that no longer represents what our faces once looked like in our youth. Fillers are medical grade products that help us obtain the fuller, more youthful appearance with minimal downtime. These products are used as soft tissue fillers that are injected under the skin to plump up lines, smoothen the wrinkles, fill up the hollow areas in the face and to augment the lips or cheeks for a younger, fuller appearance. This liquid facelift is usually the main procedure for central or mid-face lifts as well as lower face contour correction. For some patients it’s the Tear-trough, for others it’s the deep naso-labial folds, or the sunken and down-turned corners of the mouth, or the Marionette lines, or the pre-jowl sulci. All of these along with the augmentation of the cheeks and lips can create either subtle or dramatic changes as the specific need for that particular patient demands.
Neck Lift
We portray our feelings by our facial expressions. These facial movements, or activities like squinting our eyes, smoking and pursing our lips will create lines and wrinkles over time. Our frown lines are another example of muscle activity that can give us an angry or anxious appearance. Facial rejuvenation can take some of these tell tale signs of aging away. It can be as simple as in-office injections with Botox or Xeomin to temporarily weaken the muscle activity (approximately 3 months) or use of dermal fillers and tissue augmentation with products like Belotero, Juvederm or Radiesse which can last 6-14 months. If there is excess tissue or laxity then surgical procedures like facelift, neck lift, brow lift, blepharoplasty, Otoplasty and Rhinoplasty are needed to bring about a change to restore the face to a younger version of you.
Blepharoplasty
The procedure is performed under local or general anesthesia and lasts 45 minutes to a few hours depending on how much work is done. Incisions are made along the eyelids in inconspicuous places (in the creases of the upper lids, and just below the lashes on the lower lids). Dr. Niazi removes excess tissue through these incisions and then stitches them closed with fine sutures. In the case that no skin needs to be removed, Dr. Niazi will likely perform a transconjunctival blepharoplasty, where the incision is made inside the lower eyelid and there are no visible scars.
Abdominoplasty
Perhaps nowhere else on the body is pregnancy more unforgiving than in the abdomen. By stretching and weakening the skin and muscles of the tummy and waist, pregnancy can leave you with loose skin, stretch marks and a straighter waistline that no amount of exercise will correct. A tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, can help.
Nose Surgery
Chin augmentation: Chin surgery, also known as mentoplasty, is a surgical procedure to reshape the chin either by enhancement with an implant or reduction surgery on the bone. Many times a plastic surgeon may recommend chin surgery to a patient having nose surgery in order to achieve facial proportion, as the size of the chin may magnify or minimize the perceived size of the nose. Chin surgery helps provide a harmonious balance to your facial features so that you feel better about the way you look.
Body Lift
A circumferential body lift is a surgical procedure that helps to flatten and shape the abdomen and trunk by removing excess fat and skin and tightening muscles.
Breast Surgery
Changes in body shape occur with aging, weight gain or weight loss. Over the last 20 years the overall increase in the rate of obesity and the associated rise in bariatric procedures(weight loss surgery) has also been associated with an increase in body reshaping procedures including liposuction, tummy tucks, body lifts, facial rejuvenation, breast surgery, arm and thigh lifts. Short term radical diets usually do not produce a lasting change. A better approach is improved diet and regular exercise regimen. If there are residual areas of fatty deposits then patients can benefit from liposuction which remains the most popular and sought after procedure or need procedures referred generically as lipectomies and lifts.
Otoplasty
Otoplasty lasts from two to three hours and may be performed in a hospital, office-based facility or an outpatient surgery center. General anesthesia is recommended for very young patients, while local anesthesia and a sedative are used for older children and adults.
Scar Revision
Scar revision is performed to reduce the appearance of scars caused by injury or previous surgery. Scars are by definition permanent, but surgery can narrow, fade and otherwise reduce the appearance of severe or unattractive scarring. Some patients develop hypertrophic or Keloid scars. The latter are a difficult problem with limited success in some while other patients benefit greatly especially if surgery is combined with Radiation treatment of the scars.
Lip Augmentation
Belotero is a hyaluronic acid gel, similar to Juvederm. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occuring product in our bodies. The indications for treatment include fine lines and wrinkles around the lips, nose, glabella, crows feet and chin crease etc. It’s also used for lip augmentation, deep fold correction, cheek augmentation, liquid rhinoplasty, temple and lateral brow augmentation. Treatment takes only 15-45 minutes with immediate results and no downtime. Results typically last about 6-9 months.
Body Contouring
In January 2010, Dr Niazi was appointed as Section editor of Body Contouring for the prestigious American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery. The position entails review of manuscripts and research to identify information that will benefit physicians in providing better care for their patients. He continues to serve in this capacity to date to promote the best practices and quality of care for patients nationally and internationally.
Laser Resurfacing
Laser skin treatment and Intense pulse light treatment: Laser resurfacing, in principle, produces younger looking skin in a similar way as does a chemical peel, and is used to remove areas of damaged or wrinkled skin, minimize the appearance of fine lines, and is also effective in treating facial scars or areas of uneven pigmentation. The Fractionated lasers have less downtime. Weekend rejuvenation treatments may include a microlaser peel and BBL treatment or fractionated laser treatment. Skin tightening, acne and hair removal are also easily provided with the state of the art system in Dr Niazi’s office.
Gynecomastia
Gynaecomastia Surgery: Although rarely discussed, enlarged male breasts is a common condition. Gynecomastia affects approximately 40 to 60 percent of men. There is no known cause, although there has been some correlation with various drugs or medical conditions.
Cosmetic Surgery
Dr. Niazi was appointed as an Associate member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in May 2007. In 2011 the Board of Trustees of the AACS voted in Dr Niazi as a Fellow of the Academy for his commitment and care of his cosmetic surgery patients. The organization continues to promote physician CME activities and patient education.
Bariatric Surgery
After substantial weight loss patients may feel unhappy with the physical appearance as in some areas the tissues and skin may not retract. The areas that commonly need attention are the abdomen, breasts, trunk, arms or the so-called ‘batwings’, thighs and face/neck. The patients should wait at least a year post bariatric surgery before they have a surgical procedure to allow tissues to settle as this reduces their complications.

Forehead Lift

Acne Treatment
Microlaser Peel & Contour TRL removes a layer of surface skin to improve the appearance of facial scarring due to acne, chicken pox, injury or other causes. Broad Band Light (BBL) removes uneven pigmentation, wrinkles, sun damage, age spots or freckles, unsightly red spots or veins and certain kinds of skin lesions. BBL is also used for hair removal, active acne treatment and the exciting new Skin tightening procedures called SkinTyte. BBL can also be used to treat bruising and help it disappear quicker.
Lesions
Skin procedures are commonly lumped together under non-surgical umbrella as these are performed in-office under no or topical/local anesthesia. These include use of temporary muscle paralytics to diminish frown lines, decrease the crows feet or forehead creases, raise the tail of the eyebrow or soften the platysmal bands. Sometimes these products can be used for reducing a gummy smile. The other major category in skin procedures is facial fillers which are indicated for plumping up lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines and effacing the tear trough deformity or the pre-jowl sulci. The third category of skin procedures are the Laser and Light therapy treatments which provide an improvement in skin texture, tone and color. The fourth category encompasses surgical procedures usually performed under local anesthetic but sometimes requires a general anesthetic. These can be benign skin lesions, malignant skin lesions or scars like hypertrophic, rail-road track scars or keloid scars.
