The Spring Garden restaurant is under new ownership and is now The Big Skillet Restaurant. A nice family restaurant with good service and a large choice of excellent home made menu items. Dinners include choice of potato or rice, vegetable, a BOWL of homemade soup or dinner salad and a basket of rolls; the daily specials also include dessert. The portions are generous and prices are reasonable. They also offer a senior menu and a kids menu too. They have a good selection of burgers and sandwiches; and breakfast is served all day.

Breakfast is fantastic. It has the feel of Chicago style family restaurants many chicagoans meet for breakfast offering large portion meals and not having to pay extra for the side dishes.Abundantly flavorful breakfasts'
