DEFINITELY RECOMMEND .........
I FIRST WANT TO SAY, I DON'T KNOW WHY THE RATINGS FOR CHAMPS IS HERE IN THE SPACE FOR ROYAL PALACE, BUT I AM RATING ROYAL PALACE....I'VE BEEN going here, ROYAL PALACE, ACROSS THE STREET FROM FLOOR DEMENTIONS ON S.P. DAM RD. for at least 15 years and the food is EXCELLENT, the price is right and the atmosphere is nice and quiet and the staff is nice and friendly AND IT'S CLEAN! They don't rush you, you can ask all the questions you want and if you want to slightly change a food item most likely they will let you. It's just a great place for lunch specials and for dinner. Great family restaurant. And I am very picky about what I eat and where I eat. You won't go wrong at Royal Palace. I'M WAITING FOR MY LUNCH ORDER AS WE SPEAK! LOL.....

I recently went back to Champ for the second time. After having the Vietnamese Soup (Pho) the first time I decided to try another soup. I had the chicken noodle soup and was equally impressed. In fact my father and I ordered two bowls of soup to split and my wife ordered the same vermacelli and Prawns that she had the first time.
The environment is very family and kid friendly, which is key, we have 4 children and the family run staff and kitchen have made us regulars. Even my father in law, who is a definite foodie, couldn't stop talking about teh pho the next day and I ma pretty sure he snuck back there a few days later.

My wife and I have had dinner at Champa many times over the past two years. We both agree that the food is excellent and the service is friendly and very food. We have not had anything (either Thai or Vietnamese versions) that we have not enjoyed. We like that you are asked about the level of spiciness of your ordered dishes. For those who are adventurous and enjoy a good burn the Lao style green papaya salad is amazing.

Champa has wonderful thai food. I have never had anything unexceptional at this place. Their Tom Kha Gai (chicken coconut soup) is out of this world and definitly my favorite. Child friendly but large enough to have a somewhat quite place to sit as well. You'll never go back to any other thai place.

Someone had recommended this restaurant in El Sobrante Plaza serving great Thai /Vietnamese food which are my two favorites. I visited there with my family on a Friday evening came to find out there was a Dixieland Jazz band playing every Friday night from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.peforming on stage with a open dance. My family loved the place, the music was very entertaining and the food was delicious. On top of it all, the service was excellent and a very friendly place suitable for all ages. I would totally recommend Champa Restaurant to anyone that is looking for live entertainments serving great Thai/ Vietnamese food in a friendly place to eat.
