Wyatt Underwood

Mr. Underwood got his money from me but did not keep me informed about my case. He even touted he could probably get it dismissed when I first contacted him. When I finally did receive a call about my case, it was from his secretary telling me about a plea bargain that I couldn't understand. When I questioned it, he got on the phone, yelled and threatened me to withdraw from my case. Then he sent me a scathing letter, and turned state's evidence, after I gave him a document, trying to let him know what I had done to try and mitigate my situation before I hired him. When prosecutor Ashley M. Martinez confronted me on the stand with that document trying to say I sent it to her, I reported to the Judge that Justin Underwood gave that to her and I didn't relinquish attorney/client privilege when I agreed to get him off my case. He's nothing but a blow hard and is full of himself. Beware!

Mr. Wyatt is very unprofessional. My husband was in court and being represented by another firm when Mr. Wyatt decided to come into the courtroom and make jokes at the prosecutors table regarding his name. I find this highly unprofessional and unethical. He was told we were sitting right behind him by our lawyer and he ignored the advisce and continued his terrible behavior. This law firm should be fined and investigated for their conduct in open court. Disgusting.

I hired Justin Underwood last year as my attorney to represent me on a misdemeanor criminal case. I was constantly left out of the loop and when I asked questions, I was told not to worry, that he would take care of everything. After several court appearances, my case was dropped by Mr. Underwood and transferred to Mr. Wyatt with no notification what so ever. I suppose Justin found a more important case to pursue. At this point in my case, my hands were tied being as how I had already paid them in full. I proceeded with Mr. Wyatt for another 6 months fighting my case until we came to Jury Trial. I was extremely confident proceeding with a jury trial being as how there was absolutely no evidence the prosecution had obtained on me. We proceeded with the jury trial as planned and to my absolute horror; Mr. Wyatt was 100% unprepared for the case. He had no idea where I had been pulled over, who I was with at the time of arrest, what I was wearing, or even where I was coming from. He proceeded to YELL and insult my jury, the very people who hold my freedom in their hands, and carry on like an arrogant mad man. I was so shocked and horrified by his lack of care and concern for my future. Needless to say, I was convicted of this bogus crime and am now suffering the consequences of my sentence.



Furthermore, there was a misunderstanding with the terms of my probation, due to court paperwork. I had attempted to contact Mr. Wyatt on several occasions, and my phone calls were never returned. I called the office EVERYDAY for 2 weeks, and not once was my phone call returned. Mr. Wyatt and his knit wit of an assistant care about one thing and one thing only, the money. They don’t care about our futures or the consequences we have to endure due to their negligence. Please save your hard earned money, and give it to an attorney who actually cares about you and is willing to fight for you and your future.

I went to Justin Underwood in hopes of him helping me with my criminal case. Being that I was a first time offender he made tons of promises that he would get me the least punishment. In the end the only thing I didn't get was jail time. Never did he explain to me what was going on, not to mention I was at the court house every month because he said he was stalling so I could get the best conditions. He didn't even keep it off my record. Since then I have spoken to many other lawyers and each has said that under the circumstances of my case I got it bad and he could have done much more. So basically he did absolutley NOTHING!!! He took my money and didn't help me one bit. I don't recommend him AT ALL.
