I have an ongoing, long-term issue I have been going to Eastside Medical for treatment. Dr. Juarez is excellent. Bertha, Rachel, Maria, and all the staff there are very friendly and professional. I always recommend my friends to go there. I am totally satisfied!

I was not happy at all with my experience. I waited more than at least an hour to see someone, then another 30 minutes in an examination room, and then another 15 minutes just to pay. My visit with the nurse practitioner was only for 20 minutes only where only a brief consultation and check –up was performed. I was billed $200.00 for this. I asked for a statement of what I was being charged for and they would not provide one. I was told insure would cover 50%. When it did not they sent me a bill for $36.16. I asked their collections department to credit this amount as I was completely dissatisfied. They did not, and threatened to send the account balance of $36.16 to an outside collection agency. I ended up paying that as well, again asked for a statement to justify all the charges which till this day they never provided. A manager at the care center said he would contact me to see what could be done. This was in July and I haven’t heard from him since. Feel free to read my original complaint to their collections department:



I am disputing the current charge of $36.16 as I was not at all satisfied with the service that I received and initially objected to the amount that I was originally charged. I visited the Eastside Medical Care Center on 11/15/2013 on a walk-in basis. I was informed that my Aetna insurance would cover 50% of the cost and was not provide with an estimate of how much the visit would run.



I waited in the lobby for over an hour and then eventually had blood pressure, temperate, weight and height measured only to be ushered into an examination room where I waited an additional thirty five to forty minutes. I eventually had a consultation with a Family Nurse Practitioner for roughly twenty minutes. At this point no further testing was performed or medication prescribed. I was not expecting the low level of contact and lack of treatment, in comparison to previous visits to other healthcare providers.



After the consultation, I waited an additional fifteen to twenty minutes just to be called up to pay. I couldn’t believe the total of my visit was $200.00, which I would be responsible for $100.00, considering the lack of care I received. I requested a statement of work so that these charges could somehow be justified. Instead I received a very generic receipt (attached) with only payment details and nothing else. It didn’t seem reasonable or business professional to not be provided a statement of what I was paying for. I was told I would have to call the billing department if I had an issue and wanted further details. I reluctantly paid the bill and left completely unsatisfied, overcharged, and felt there was a lack of concern regarding my discontent and my question as to how I was charged.



I called the billing department the following Monday 11/14/2014 so that I could acquire a statement of the work performed, so that the $200.00 charge could be justified and explained. I was once again provided with vague details, unable to acquire a statement of services, and informed that I would have to call back and speak to someone else. At this point I made a decision to call it a loss, consider it a sunk cost, and not continue to pursue a further explanation.



To add insult to injury, I received the bill for $36.36 stating that an adjustment had been made. As mentioned, I was told up front that coverage would be at 50%. I once again called the billing department this time to make notice that I was disputing the charge and gave me reasons as to why. The Eastside Medical Care Center is still a place of business and I am still a very dissatisfied customer. This charge needs to be credited or voided

We only waited about 10 minutes for the staff to see us last time we went to Eastside Medical Care. We have been going there for over 5 years, and are very happy with Dr. Juarez. And Maria, one of the nurses, has an awesome bedside manner, very kind. I always have an excellent experience going there, no complaints. I congratulate them on a job well-done, every time!

My little girl was very sick and I had never been to Eastside Medical but I decided to take her there and I will never regret it. They were kind, the wait was short, and my little girl absolutely loved all of the staff there!

I went into Eastside Medical having a hard time breathing and left feeling great! Dr. Becerra was very nice and quick. She was also very informative, and she gave me tips on how to control my allergies for the rest of the year.

I have been going to Dr. Juarez for more than 10 years. My mother is also a patient of Dr. Juarez. Dr. Juarez is more than just a Dr. to me and my mother he is a friend, I have trust and confidence in him. He is my guardian angel! If my mother and I need an appointment, Bertha will work them in right away. Bertha always has kind words and is very professional. When I need a referral, Dr. Juarez and his staff always makes sure the appropriate records are sent to my referral Physician and I doesn’t have to worry about it when I arrive to my appointment. Dr. Juarez calls us by pur first name and if he sees us out in public he always says hello and hugs us! My mother and I love Dr. Juarez and Eastside Medical Care Center!

There is no other clinic like Eastside Medical Care Center on 1721 N. Lee Trevino, El Paso, Texas! I am very grateful to Dr. Cajas, the receptionist and the medical assistants, especially Bertha and Reyna. They are all very professional, very caring and beautiful! I will never go to any other clinic for health care EVER!

I went to the WestSide Medical and their service was really great. The staff was very respectful and very helpful. It was a wonderful visit. The doctor asked a lot of thorough questions that no other doctor had ever asked me; they were very good questions that helped them meet and help my needs. I would recommend their services to anyone! I give them a 10!

Dr. Becerra was a very nice provider and she was quick. I went in feeling like i couldn’t breath and left feeling great. She was very informative. She gave me tips how to control my allergies for the rest of the year.

My son saw Dr. Calderoni. He was very quick and child-friendly. He was the only doctor that dx my son. Dr. Calderoni made my son very comfortable; for a 20-month-old thats not easy! Great job.
