Trisun El Paso

My mother was in their care for 19 hours and they almost ended her life. If you don't love your family then put them in this crazy institution. I reported them to DADS and they were fined and sanctioned. They need to be shut down. If you love your family RUN as fast as you can from here. Don't go here for the sake of your loved ONE or ONES!

My 92 year old mother was cared for at this facility after a fall where she broke her leg. She was released and left the facility with nothing but great appreciation to all the LVNs, CNAs, physical therapists and wound care specialists that contributed to her care. Thank you very much!!!

This facility has some serious issues. My 75 year old family member has never had problems with bed sores, but he got them on his heels and buttocks after just a few weeks at Trisun. He did not like to be moved, so it appears they just left him in the same position all day long. I could never get a nurse or social worker to return my phone calls, and the only time they called me was to talk about money.



He developed an infection and had to be sent to a hospital, and Trisun never notified anyone in the family. I only found out when I went to visit him and he was not there. I thought this would be a good facility because it was fairly new, but I was wrong.

This place was a nightmare for my 80yo father. I reported them to DADS. They are a warehouse for the elderly, leaving them in bed for hours without helping them to the bathroom, they prefer to "just let him pee in the diaper", my father has a bed sore and this is just neglect. They took my father into the shower and scrubbed his skin raw (he is 80yo and has paper thin skin). The two CNA's should be fired but were not. although there were only 2 LVN'S that were caring, the rest of the staff would prefer to keep their patients "sedated". They were mean and disrespectful. As soon as I filed a complaint, the doctor that had only seen him for a few minutes, put in false concerns and he was transferred back to the hospital with non life threatening made-up problems. If you love your family, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!!!

Our mom was to be transferred to a skilled nursing facility from the hospital. The sales rep from Trisun came to see mom and look over her medical history, etc. The doctors thought mom a good candidate, and it seemed Trisun was going to accept her. The next day, a nurse told me Trisun had declined to take mom. Said it was because they "couldn't get some of her medications." When I finally was able to reach the rep, she admitted that the real reason was that she had "spoken to some of the nurses and aides at the hospital" about mom, and decided mom wasn't "a good fit" for Trisun. Being an RN, I knew it would have been illegal for the nurses and aides to talk about mom to the Trisun rep; only the doctor and social worker had the needed permission. However, I did talk with each and every nurse and aide who worked with mom and every one of them said they were never approached by the Trisun rep about mom. I then spoke again with the rep, and she finally admitted the real truth: "We don't want anything to happen to your mother on our property if she were to not get her medications on time." !!!!! The bottom line was that mom requires fairly close attention due to one of her medical conditions, and so this facility was declining medical care to mom due to her illness. THIS IS ILLEGAL and is in fact a CIVIL RIGHTS ISSUE, along with violation of Americans with Disabilities Act and many other laws. Had we not learned that Trisun was a very poorly run facility, and had we not found something much better, we would be suing Trisun for violating these laws. As it now stands, I will most certainly be writing letters to all the licensing agencies and anyone else who can place this information on Trisun's record. It helps that I have "Trap-a-Call" on my phone service, and the calls were legally transcribed. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH SOMEONE YOU LOVE!!!! Check out Kindred Hospital instead! You will LOVE it, and its very compassionate and competent professionals.

I would not recomend this place to anyone.They`re some compassionate staff ,but most could careless.The facilty is new but needs to be updated to 2012 standards.If you care for your loved ones don`t send them here ,TERRIBLE!!!

If your looking for the worst facility from hell this is the place. First no one is there at the front desk answering the phone who ever passes by answers it. The girls there make fun and laugh at the elderly when left in the hall sitting on a wheelchair for hours to the point where they fall asleep and have actually fallen from their chair . The staff have their own gossip meeting ignoring the patients . I see the elderly practicly in tears where they have been waiting for help and nobody comes to help them. The staff is rude and speak to the patients in a very mean way. The girls don't give a damn about this place there is no passion for what they do to them its just another paycheck. I can go on and on. I wonder where the owner of this place is at. He needs to kick some common sense to his employees and teach them how to be professional . Bad Bad shame on you guys!
