Hope. That is what Dr. Farnam gave me when I visited him for my first initial consultation. I was referred to him for a second opinion for endometriosis. Months earlier I had been told the permanet resolution to my pain would be a complete hysterectomy, ovaries and all. I felt uneasy and confused about taking this route especially with the removal of my ovaries. Dr. Farnam patiently heard my concerns and explained the different treatment options available including the DaVinci Robotic surgery for a hysterectomy. After a few visits and being educated more on my condition, I decided to have the surgery. Dr. Farnam gave me hope simply by telling me he would do everything he could to save my ovaries, even if just one. As it turns out, he was able to save both. I am now in my 6th week of recovery and feel great! I was allowed to go back to work in two weeks time with a few restrictions: 8 hour work day and no lifting over 30 lbs. The best part is that the DaVinci Robotic surgery left only 3 tiny puncture scars. Can't tell the surgery was done through my belly button!

Dr. Farnam performed a very complicated full hysterectomy on me, June 2015. I had heavy periods, excruciating lower abdominal pain almost all the time, ovarian cysts covering both ovaries and my uterus was the size of a baseball because of all the fibroid tumors. He used the Da Vinci to conduct the surgery. The first week was a bit painful but overall I recovered very fast. After 5 months, I ran my first 7K. Dr. Farnam is an amazing human being and a brilliant doctor. I am so grateful that I found him.

I had robotic surgery (hysterectomy) recently done by Dr. Farnam. The recovery time is so much quicker. Dr. Farnam is a brilliant doctor. Hello my name is Katie and I’m 32 years old, there are so many wonderful things I can say about Dr. Farnam and his staff. From the moment you step foot in his office it is a calming, friendly, and professional environment. I presented with heavy periods, sharp pelvic pain, and unbearable monthly cramps. After seeing multiple doctors in El Paso and being prescribed many pain killers throughout years, Dr. Farnam was the one that was able to diagnose me, help me and guide me throughout the whole procedure I needed. Dr. Farnam diagnosed me with Endometriosis and preformed surgery on me using the Da Vinci robot. On my end the surgery was fast, minimal down time, and the end result is no more pain and four very small healing incisions. I was kept in the hospital overnight and myself as well as visitors were amazed that I was up and walking around so soon. I recently had a partial hysterectomy performed by Dr Farnam due to multiple Fibroids that I had suffered for many years. I have had past surgeries from different doctor for the removal of the Fibroids, they continued to reoccur so I knew the decision to have a partial hysterectomy had to made sooner than later. By speaking with Dr Farnam he explained what the surgery entailed, which made me feel at ease, and at peace in making my final decision to have the partial hysterectomy.

Dr. Farnam is very professional, intelligent and compassionate. I had a total hysterectomy with the robot and it was painless. Dr. Farnam made sure I was taken care of after surgery in the hospital. The nurses even commented that he ALWAYS takes care of his patients. He and his staff make me feel like a valued person and not just a patient. If you need a gynecologist, Dr. Farnam is the BEST!!!!!

It is an honor to recommend such a wonderful physician as Dr. Farnam. I am a practicing registered nurse for 20+ years now and have worked with many physicians. However, this physician is the real thing ladies. Professional, great bedside manner, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. He takes his time and treats you like a "real "person. Wow and his office staff are just as great and wonderful. Couple of times I've had to wait in the waiting room, but he is definitely worth the wait! It is refreshing to have such a highly trained physician with such a great heart.

Dr. Farnum's skills are top-notch. I relied on those skills when requesting a bloodless surgery. I had my laparoscopic procedure and my recovery went smoothly.
