This place is AMAZING! My wife...

This place is AMAZING! My wife and I have been to a number of Asian places in the El Paso area looking for what we feel is good (would even settle for decent) Asian food. This place was EXACTLY what we were looking for AND THEN SOME! The food tasted very clean and fresh, nothing had that dirty oil taste most Chinese/Asian places have. We tried the veggie egg rolls, sweet and sour pork, hot and sour soup, and combination fried rice all of which tasted fantastic and were very reasonably priced especially considering the generous portions. The small hot and sour soup was practically a meal by itself for my wife. The atmosphere was nice and homey and the whole place was very clean. The wait staff was warm and friendly. We both will definitely be back soon and now know where our go to Chinese restaurant is in the area.

WHAT A GREAT MEAL !

It's not often I go out to eat Chinese food, but when I do, I usually go to Sam's Chinese Restaurant in Central El Paso. It's one of my favorites. When I heard the head chef and owner of Sam's Chinese Restaurant was opening an eatery on the East Side. I decided to check it out. On a recent Tuesday evening during Spring Break, my family and I had dinner at the new restaurant, Mei's Kitchen.

Though small, it is very warm and welcoming. Also very sanitary and clean (something I always look for). The stall are exceptional. Our waitress brought our drinks quickly and suggested appetizers and entrees that were delicious. Everything was also very inexpensive. Not one dish was over $10.

The menu is divided into soups, appetizers, salads, rice/noodles, etc. My family and I began our evening with 2 Avocado Rolls ($3.50) and their Vegetarian Egg Roll ($2.35) Everyone loved it. We then ordered a sesame chicken ($7.25), a Mei's Spicy Chicken ($6.95) and a Pan-Fried Noodles ($7.25) to share.

The sesame chicken was breaded and fried chicken pieces w/ sesame and vegetables. The Mei's Spicy Chicken is crispy nuggets of chicken with vegetables in a wonderful sweet and spicy sauce. My husband thought the sauce would be great on ribs and saved it to bring home. Both dishes were served with steamed white rice. It was just delicious. The Pan-Fried noodles had lots of giant shrimps, broccoli, snow peas, water chestnuts, mushrooms and other vegetables served on crispy noodles. What a winning entree ! I really recommend you go there. You won't regret it. Oh, on the way out I saw their lunch special banner. It included an entree w/ rice and the soup of the day for only $4.25. you can bet I'll be back for lunch another day.

Horrible

Staff is rude. It took 2 hours for a delivery and the food is disgusting. They use ramen noodles and call it lo mein. Don't order from here. It sucks.
