Great training

We have a 2 year old lab whom we wanted to train to be more than a "yard" dog so we went to Dina's K9 for a couple of 8 week group classes. To say she instructs to a high level is an understatement. She had no problem conveying the class objective to us and our dogs. They are fun as well as informative an our dog looked forward to his weekly visit to see her. With that in mind, after the last class our lab took an passed easily the tests to become a certified therapy dog as well as the AKC Canine Good Citizen. Well worth the class fee!

Something for your pet and you to do!

Now while some go for obedience, others go for fun.

Let's just say either way, is a win win situation. My dog always knew when it was time to go to class. Mrs. Whitehouse is a firm but very kind woman who shows her affection for dogs through teaching these classes. Who wants a teacher who doesn't care about what they are teaching? This is one of the major facts that I enjoyed about the obedience training. There was encouragement and the lessons of when and went not to correct your dog was something I will forever remember. My dog was happy to go and always a bit sad to leave. I highly recommend going to this school if your dog needs obedience or even if your dog wants to learn something new, to be challenged. It's a fun time and a lot of work but very rewarding for both you and your beloved dog.

A True Miracle Worker

I was at a turning point with one of my foster dogs. Due to her never having any boundries, she was completely "out of control" and I feared she was beyond help and would need to be put down. Then I found Dina and K-9 Fun Works. After taking and graduating from the Good Manners Class, "Yankee" was adopted into her forever home and her new family is so pleased with her. They call her "the perfect dog". The small class size gives everyone that special individualized training to address any problems or issues you are having with your dog. The outlines and homework are easy to follow to ensure successful training. She always makes herself available should you have any questions or need that little extra help. She is a "True Miracle Worker".

VERY PLEASED DOG OWNER

I'm a mother of 4 children and when our 136lb Great-dane /mastiff mix started showing signs of being a sassy adolesence we contacted Dina Whitehouse @ K9 Fun Works . We opted for private lessons to go over our specific concerns and we were amazed how quickly everything came together. We learned our dog wasnt being disobedient we just were not communicating what we wanted correctly, once Dina showed us , he was more than willing to please us. Now I can say i enjoy taking him for a walk, eating dinner as a family is way more enjoyable, everyday life in our home is so much simpler. I highly reccomend her classes, it has been worth every cent .

A CUT ABOVE THE REST

Here is a trainer with the experience, ability & the sincere interest in seeing your dog behave better for you! Here is a trainer whose own dogs excel in various dog sports & are super companions & also therapy dogs. She'll train you to train your own dog, teach you about the nature of dogs, and freely share the result of her many years of hard work.

Nothing like a well-behaved dog

If you want a well-behaved dog, Dina is your answer. Her training is consistent, thorough, and easy to understand and put into practice. My 10-month old very large German Shepherd is nicely leash-trained and knows his basic obedience commands, thanks to her. In addition to class training, she is always willing to answer individual questions and offer corrective suggestions that work.

Above the Rest

Many are the days when I have often wondered where we would be now without Dina and her expertise, love, and knowledge of the maginificent Great Dane.

Thank you, Dina, for sharing with me just how great life can be when we learn how to understand and manage our dogs and their needs.

Congratulations on so many accomplishments with this magnificent breed. And thank you, most of all, to your dedication to Great Dane Rescue - for your friendship, understanding, caring, and devotion.

We are blessed.

Excellent Product - Excellent Service

I have taken obedience lessons from Dina. She is thorough, fair, and consistent in her training. I drive three hours, one way, to have a training session with her. She's that good! Her training equipment is lightweight and sturdy, perfect to "take on the road" for practices at different locations. I highly recommend her and her equipment.

Wonderful jumps, knowledgeable trainer

I have a complete set of the Funworks obedience jumps (plus front-shaper). They are lightweight, easy to adjust, and durable.

As a trainer, Dina is outstanding! Her classes at all levels are well-designed and intelligently sequenced. I've taken two of my dogs now through Puppy, Good Manners, Beginning (training for the AKC Novice level), and Intermediate and Advanced (the last two are a sequence of classes that introduce the basics of Open and Utility exercises).

Dina has lots of knowledge and experience, and she quickly spots where a dog and handler team are encountering problems and gives hands-on, clear advice to help overcome the glitches. She is also willing to change methods with particular dogs when warranted.

I highly recommend her training classes to anyone in the El Paso, TX area who needs help for anything from basic household manners, through therapy dog training, to competition obedience.

Best Trainer EVER!

We met Dina through a friend. After hearing thier training success story we immediately called her. She is AMAZING, patient and willing to work with your situation and needs. I would recommend her to everyone who wants a very well behaved puppy or dog. Her training is straight to the point and very easy to follow. I always left her feeling confident in what we learned. She would also send us home with instructions on what we learned that week, as a refresher and reminder while we were 'practicing' at home. For all her time and effort the price was right on. I have experienced several "trainers" through the years and have never been impressed, but Dina is worth every penny!
