He is a native of Irvine, California but moved away to the east coast to complete his undergraduate degree with honors at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY and medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. Following his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck surgery, he returned to California and completed an ACGME accredited Neurotology fellowship at the world-renowned House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles.
