Valir Physical Therapy - Edmond

Thanks to Michelle and the staff there, my symptoms of neck pain, along with the tingling and numbness in my arm/fingers from severe c-spine stenosis improved greatly. More importantly, I was told that I do not have to undergo the spinal fusion that was initially recommended. I highly recommend their services.

I highly recommend CORE Physical Therapy, Shane Sims and his entire physical therapy team. As a 49 year old active male computer engineer, I woke up one morning with, what I thought was a pinched nerve in my neck. Four weeks later I was diagnosed by MRI with severe spinal stenosis at the area between C3 through C6. After dealing with drug therapy for 6 weeks, my Doctor referred me to a physical therapist. He worked with me for three weeks; however I felt very little benefit. At the urging of my wife to continue with physical therapy, I searched for a different therapist and found Shane Sims, MPT, OCS, FAAOMPT at CORE Physical Therapy in Edmond, Oklahoma. Attending therapy with Mr. Sims on my neck saved me from surgery.



By the time I met Shane at CORE, I was afraid surgery would be my only relief. Four months of physical therapy later, surgery would be the farthest thought from my mind. I have returned to tennis, hiking, fly fishing and walking. I have returned to the life I was leading before being held hostage by my neck and constant pain. While my dedication to my therapy was a large part of my recovery, I am completely convinced that without the professional, hands on guidance by Shane Sims, I would have ended up back in my surgeon’s office. Shane never gave the impression he was too busy to hear my daily diary of experiences and always provided creative and accommodating exercises to my changing symptoms. Without this excellent therapist I would be recuperating from spinal surgery today.
