Overall

I talked with Brian this morning about needing my roof replaced. He informed me that his method is to go over the insurance adjusters quote to ensure that the adjuster had everything listed that is needed. And then he matches his quote with the adjusters. In other words he wants to find out how much money the insurance company is paying so that he can make sure to use all of it. The advice that my adjuster gave me is that a contractor should give you a written itemized quote as to what they intend to do. They have no reason to know how much money you have to spend on the project.
