Grandma's Day Care

Everyone working here including the director plus (grandma) at grandmas daycare are very loving and welcoming people. They put your child's safety first along with teaching them as much as they can to get your child to where they need to be with love and patience. I have personally known this daycare and their employees well over 5+ years and have also communicated with a lot of the parents that take their children there and have never once heard any bad remarks about the way they own and operate their business. To say that they have ever been rude or mean to anybody regarding the well being of their business I would have to say would be a false statement in short a lie. Don't take my word for it though see for yourself how nice and loving everyone there is! :)

The director of GMA's Nursery often referred to the daycare employees as "teachers." The statements are giving false impressions to parents that her employees are "highly trained" in classroom management, behavioral discipline procedures, and classroom curriculum instruction. The employees, including the director, are NOT CERTIFIED or LICENSED TEACHERS by the Texas Education Agency. A "teacher" stated to the director that she was going to quit based on a four year old child's alleged misconduct. I suggested that the "teacher" needed additional tools to effectively handle the child. The director displayed an egotistical attitude of "it's my business" and no one regulates it, including the State. The director stated, "My teacher is well qualified and doesn't need any additional training." The director lacks public relation skills and often alienates individuals by making condescending remarks to parents and grandparents. Privy information was shared with me by the director stating a false allegation of a child "choking" another. A parent was ridiculed by stating, "we did everything he suggested but it did not work." After tolerating the directors attitude and statements, I told the director that I was no longer going to listen to her. The director rudely replied, "No wonder your grandchild doesn't listen because it runs in the family." For the readers, I AM a certified teacher with 26 years of experience. I have been twice Teacher of the Year. Numerous times appointed by my peers and administrators as Department Head. Plus, I have a Masters in Education in School Administration.
