Dental Examination

X-rays
Oral Cancer Screening
This year alone, nearly 50,000 people will be diagnosed with oral cancer, and many will not survive the next five simply because the disease was caught too late. Oral cancer is very treatable when detected early, which is exactly why the American Cancer Society recommends that all patients should receive at least one screening a year. Dr. Ruiz will perform this service during each dental checkup so this terrible disease will never catch you off-guard.

Teeth Cleaning
After your scaling and root planing treatment, your doctor may choose to utilize antibiotic therapy to guard you against reinfection. This will either come in the form of a topical antibiotic that is applied directly to your gums or a pill you will take at home. In any case, this will kill any leftover bacteria, even those that are hidden deep within your gum line. Afterward, you will be advised to come in more often for regular dental cleanings to prevent your gum disease from coming back.
Fluoride Treatment

A native of New Jersey, he is a member of the New Jersey Dental Association and New Jersey Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Zaidi is continuing his education in implant and digital dentistry. In addition, he is fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu. In his free time, he enjoys being with friends and family, traveling, biking, and playing basketball.
