AWFUL beyond words!!! So I find out I'm pregnant and I call to make an appointment like a regular person would. I mean theres so much I don't know like what should my vitamins have, what can I eat or not eat, is the medication I take safe. I was also having bad cramping and bleeding so I figured better safe then sorry let me be smart and start my pregnancy off right by getting all the info I need.

I called and was told I can only be seen at 7-8 weeks. (am only about 3-4 weeks) So I tell them my symptoms. The nurse there, June, tells me to come in to do blood work and confirm the pregnancy. I go in. Urine test comes out negative. Now I just want to cry because I just took 5 home pregnancy tests and they were all positive.

Blood work comes back the next day positive and HCG level low which can mean ectopic pregnancy. Also my blood type may need something called Rhogam which i never heard of before. They tell me to come back in a few days to check blood again. Really? I can't see the damn doctor still? What is rhogam. what's going on?? What's the risks of ectopic pregnancy.

Now over emotional from hormones and freaking out I go crazy with research. Meanwhile having lots of pain so i go to ER. ER checks me out, even sends in the on call OBGYN who was there doing a c-section on someone else to come and look at me. Really? Again, I couldn't get this from my own obgyn?

The two doctors at er basically tell me it's too early to tell. The baby may be ok, or it may be a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy. Go to my obgyn and get blood work done. They ask me what kind of prenatal vitamins i am on. I tell them none because again i never got to speak to my doctor! Then they tell me when did you get your rhogam shot since you are bleeding and your blood is O negative. Again, I just give them a dumb look because none of this has been done or explained to me and now i just feel like an idiot for not fighting to speak to my doc. (DR. Owunna) I was also dehydrated and ended up being in ER for 8 hours to get fluids.

My husband calls and makes a big fuss that we want a doctor's appointment. We went and to our surprise its not my doctor. So we start telling her about the low HCG level and how the ER said that all these things that were suppose to be done weren't done. So the doctor interrupts me, tells me the ER doctors know nothing because they aren't specialists, then tells me I should know about the vitamins because everyone does and i should have been on them prior to conceiving. I swear to God I don't know how I didn't slap her!

She 1. didn't give me the chance to say I saw an OBGYN at the ER, 2. how am I suppose to know what amount of what vitamin should be in the vitamins i am taking if according to her not even the ER doctors know what they are talking about, 3. bad mouthing other professionals she doesn't know is not professional, 4, didn't appreciate her sassy tone, especially when i cant even sleep right from the bad pains i have, 5. i told them in my last visit with them i wanted to start trying soon so why wasn't i given the vitamins then or the information then?? and lastly 6. if everyone knew what they were doing we wouldn't need doctors.
