X-rays
We offer full panoramic X-rays and CT scans for our patients with the new Kavo OP3D scanner. This allows us greater detail in imaging your mouth which results in picking up tooth decay earlier and making for simpler treatments for our patients. This painless and quick process provides many benefits for all dental treatments.
Oral Cancer Screening
Dr. Thomason recommends participating in an oral hygiene routine every day and attending regular dental checkups every six months. If you do this, your mouth will be cleaned each day and dental problems will likely be prevented. At every hygiene cleaning appointment Dr. Thomason will perform an examination of diagnostic x-rays, oral cancer screening, gum disease evaluation, examination of tooth decay, and examination of existing restorations. Your cleaning appointment will include a dental exam and removal of calculus (tartar), removal of plaque, and teeth polishing.

Teeth Cleaning
Fluoride can be an effective treatment against the sugars and acids that come through our mouth everyday. When combined with a semi-annual dental cleaning, your teeth will be stronger and healthier than ever.
Fluoride Treatment
The above advice are helpful habits to be in no matter the current state of your mouth, it unfortunately won’t fix damage that has already occurred. Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment is necessary when the pulp (soft tissue inside your tooth containing blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue) becomes inflamed or diseased. During root canal treatment, Dr. Thomason will remove the diseased pulp. The pulp chamber and root canal(s) of the tooth are then cleaned and sealed. If the infected pulp is not removed, pain and swelling can result, and your tooth may have to be removed.

Dentures
While patients who wear dentures no longer have to worry about dental decay, they may have concerns with ill fitting appliances or mouth sores to name a few things. Annual visits to the dentist (or sooner if soreness is present) is recommended. Regular visits can help you to avoid more complicated problems down the road.

A crown is a protective covering made of porcelain that looks like a tooth. This crown acts as a helmet to protect the remaining tooth from further deterioration and break down. A crown can help strengthen a tooth with a large filling when there isn’t enough tooth remaining to hold the filling. Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, protect a weak tooth from breaking or restore one that’s already broken. This is a good way to cover teeth that are discolored or badly shaped.
