Independence Park Apartments in Durham, NC

Truly these apartments are new construction, but unless you live on the 3rd floor, you can expect some sleepless nights and plenty of noise. I wear earplugs to drown out the noise, but if not, I can hear everything from cabinets shutting, to washer and dryer doors closing, to water being run and let out of the bathtub, to people walking (sounds more like stomping), dropping things, and please don't let anyone vacuum, it sounds more like someone running a leaf blower. My 2nd week in, I also saw baby roaches in the kitchen! Where did they come from?!!! The management team seems to be very responsive to issues, but nevertheless I am still SO disappointed with my stay at Independence Park. I was expecting a place I could come home to after work and just relax and be at peace. I wish there had been reviews posted before I came here to rent. Please do not be deceived by the amenities and the "new construction." The construction is not very good at all. A year can't pass quick enough
