Bad service don't take your children to Carolina Smile, unprofessional people, I know a poor kid with a hoorible work on his teeth, they made to swallow down his own blood and dirt from his gum, when they were working whit him and it is not the first case.

Overall

This place is very professional and ironically racist. They treated my children harshfully and made comments about children's identity. There was a female dentist whom told My daughter to move that thing...which was her hair! She also blasted out her med info across the room as if her treatment wasn't supposed to be confidential. They also have strapped my children down unecessarily when they all were being compliant. They are intimidating and very unfriendly children. The staff is harsh and does not show professionalism nor do they comply with hippa regulations. I've heard them discuss notorious for strapped

Overall

Just had our first, AND LAST, visit at this dentist. Children's dentist my -you-know-what! Rude as hell, we explained that our 4 yr old gets a little anxious about things in his mouth, that you just have to be a little patient, and the papoose just makes him MORE anxious. They take us straight back to the room with the papoose "because if we have to use it we will".

The nurse was very rough with his mouth (even started bleeding in his gums), which of course got him anxious. The more upset he got, the rougher she got. He's actually usually very good at the dentist for having anxiety issues about his mouth, but he was screaming at the top of his lungs (my wife could hear it in the waiting room and almost came back). I came VERY close to grabbing him and telling the nurse she was done traumatizing my child, but I held back just so he wouldn't have to go back again. The doctor later told my wife he wasn't sure if my son was really traumatized, or just "playing it up"....NO, he was terrified, and told the doctor it was a "nightmare" (something out of character for him to say).

Maybe other doctors/nurses at this place are better, but our nurse/doctor were rude, blamed us for everything (even though we brush and floss him twice a day, and he has separate issues with eating), we apparently don't' brush him ever and we let him eat nothing but candy. We will NEVER set foot in this place again, and will warn ANYONE we can to stay away from this place. HORRIBLE place for kids.

Terrible

We've been going to then for years and it was okay at first. Then they started strapping down my 8 year old sister for the "staff's safety" even though they knew she was a calm child. I'm talking about strapped on her ankles, knees, arms, and chest, and they put socks on her hands. They also gave her laughing gas without my mom consenting to it and when she came out her face was twice its normal size for about two weeks and she couldn't even speak. When my mother called to complain the receptionist said "ma'am you are yelling at the wrong person" instead of trying to sort out the issue. They later offered "free services" in order to shut my mom up because she said she would stop referring people here. Worst place ever

Never take a child to this office!

The quack dentist was incredibly rude to my children and I. After they were a hour and a half later than her appointment time. My eight year old who has special needs was happy walking into the room until without any warning or explanation she was pinned down to the chair and was unable to move, she said he was mean and when she began crying, he told her it didn't hurt he numbed it and continued drilling into her mouth. I was not supposed to go back with her because the "parents who attend, in there experience, tend to make the child more nervous" What a crock! To top it off he said he could not finish her cavity because of her behavior. After waiting an hr & 1/2 over her appt time she was only in there for 15 min. I was stunned....I bet he charged our insurance for a full visit! When I had asked the nurse why it took 15 mins instead of the hr and 15 she told me my daughter wouldn't calm down, I looked at her and said we have been here all morning and she, other than a few tear streaks appeared happy with a handful of stickers. The jerk had already took off for lunch...... That man should not be working with children, I'd like to see him do something like that to someone his own age! I was not told by staff that they were going to bind my child up, I found out later when I asked her about her tears and how we were going to have to bring her back to finish that she cried and begged not to ever go back..... Before that visit she loved and was excited about seeing a dentist. She had nightmares about it for weeks! Stay away from there, and never let your child go back without you!
