Patrick Gray Obstetrics and Gynecology, P.C.

Stay away from this guy (Patrick Gray). I went to him for my yearly checkup and to ask about some pain I had been experiencing and I totally regret it. He had good reviews online and unfortunately no one I knew had a recommendation for a doctor. To begin, I show up to my morning appointment and there's already 4 women waiting in the waiting room. The waiting staff explained nothing to me and took an hour to give me the paperwork to sign in as a new patient. While I am waiting in the waiting room, the other patients are talking about how he is usually late because he does rounds at the local hospital. I am under the impression that if I make an appointment for a certain time - that is the time I will be seen. If the doctor has an emergency then the staff should tell me he will be late and an estimated time he will be in. Luckily the doctor was only 2 hours late and not the 6 hours that 1 patient warned me he could have been (as a note, the only reason I stayed there for that long is because my insurance runs out in a few days and I did not have time to set up an appointment with another provider). I get taken to the examination room to change into my paper gown and wait for the doctor. The doctor comes in takes down a few answers and tells me a reason I might be experiencing pain. He says it twice along with how fertilization occurs. Then as he goes to leave for who-knows-how-long the chaperone comes in and we begin the pelvic exam. The entire time Gray will not shut the hell up and keeps telling me what he has already told me twice before. At no time does he warn me when he inserts the speculum, or inserts his fingers to feel my uterus or ovaries. No warning! This was not my first exam but after 6 years with my previous doctor he still warned me when he about to do whatever. The exam thankfully only took 5-10 minutes, I got a refill on my prescription and could finally leave. I cried when I got out to my car. This is never a comfortable experience but this man was rough with me, did not apologize for his tardiness, he was not professional and I do not understand how he got good reviews at all. AVOID THIS DOCTOR!
