I LOVE Dundalk Animal Hospital. I have been taking my animals there (everything from dogs and cats to birds and bunnies) for over 20 years. I now drive all the way from northern Baltimore county- at least 30 mins each way- to see Dr. Foster. He is so kind and he always knows what the best treatment is! I have seen him tear up on more than one occasion when he was putting my pets to sleep. I do not know what I will do if he ever retires!!!! I would be heartbroken to have to take my babies to anyone but him!

My advice "STAY AWAY" from this place service and price is awful and outrageous !!

Our nine year old St Bernard was diagnosed with cancer and had to be put alseep due to suffering and pain he was in. We were quoted at the 1st visit at 10:30 am that the cost would be $160 plus $20 if you wanna to be in the room so total of $180.00 to put him to sleep and the disposal (if you can believe that part yes $20 to go back in the room to say goodbye)

Anyways we brought the dog home for awhile to say goodbye to family and took him back later that day and was told HAD TO PAY MORE now cost was $197.00 plus still $20 more to go back to say goodbye at the end ??!!! Anyways our 28 yr old son when back and paid the $20 extra and said the old owner was in there doing it and was very incompetent with service not giving the right doses to put him to sleep before he was put down sticking the dog multiple times before getting it correct. Then after finally getting him to sleep he asked our son to pick him up and move him ?

Now understand we just paid $217.00 for this service and our son had to help the old vet cause he said he couldn't do it (hello) go get some help we paying for this service and grieving and you want our help we just helped you with over $200 for this lousy service. PLEASE do not go here know they been there for quite awhile but seems they just greedy for $$$$$ only. This was a sad time for our family and 99% people there including vet showed NO COMPASSION they just wanna make sure you had ALL $$ up front and and pay them 1st

IN ADDITION how it go from $160 plus $20 to sit in to $197 plus $20 to sit in within eight hours ?????????????????????????????????????

I have been taking my pets 1 d...

I have been taking my pets 1 dog 5 cats to Dundalk Animal Hospital for 15 years and have seen both great and not so good. Taken as a whole this is a good practice that tries to service the greatest number of pets in order to keep prices down. My best experience was with my German Shepherd who developed cancer. Dr Foster operated on her and gave us another 5 years with her. At 12 she developed a spinal inflammation and again Dr. Foster knew exactly what to do; she got steroid injections once a month. I asked Dr. Foster how long this would work and he told me I would know when it was time to let her go. She lasted another 11 months; giving us time to accept the inevitable. Dr. Foster told me to bring her in whenever it was time and he would be there. I let my good girl go on a Thursday and Dr. Foster was not on schedule but he came and did this last service for me and my Roxanne. The receptionist took care of all the billing and paperwork first and I can’t explain how thoughtful this was until you try to imagine paying a bill and filling out paperwork when you just lost you best friend. Dr. Foster explained everything he did from the shot that relaxed her to the one that stopped her heart. After all the years that Dr. Foster has been a Veterinarian he was choked up while we were waiting for her to go. Just a thought; maybe he doesn’t hang around because it’s hard on him too? and he has to go back to work. It’s not always great and very often crowded sometimes you get forgotten on hold, but there’s a reason it’s so busy and it’s not just the lower cost.

dundalk aninal hosptial is the best vet around. i am from the whitemarsh area and i take the extra time to travel to save money and to get a honest veterian oppinion not lke other vets lke ESSEX MIDDLE RIVER VETERINARY CENTER are dishonest and do not care about your pets they only care about your money. also a cashier got fired a few months ago for adding extra charges to peoples bills. what ever you do stay away from ESSEX MIDDLE RIVER VETERINARY CENTER. dundalk animal hospital are much cheeper and alot more honest i will never take my dog rockey to another vet as long as he lives.

Great Treatment and Service

I have been taking my animals here for many years. What I really like about their service is you can just walk right in with no appointment. First come first serve basis. Every vet I have encountered there has been friendly. Also you get to stay with your pet during exam. They will answer any questions pertainning to your pet without feeling your being rushed out the door. Also I have checked other vets prices, Dundalk Animal Hospital seems to be the best.
