Orchid Salon

I have been going to Orchid Salon for the past 10 years. They were once one of the best salons in the area, however this has changed in recent years. I have had two bad experiences within the past year. The first experience was when I had my gray hair dyed black. Everytime I washed my hair for the next two week, black hair dye residue would accumulate in my shower and on my towels. The second experience was when I had my 17 year old daughter's hair dyed dark brown with highlights. Her hair ended up jet black with no shine. I paid $95.00 for this service!!

My first visit & I had excellent service & results, I will be going back. My appointment was the night of the big snow storm, 12" or more and Roxanne had some cancellations so she moved me up to 4:30. All the staff left but she waited on me and spent 3 hours on my hair. Recommended a great new shampoo & conditioner that I love. She is personable, professional and accomodating. I would recommend this salon.

I tried Orchid Salon 3 times, but really knew after the 1st visit it was just not going to be a "Salon Home" for me. I waited 45 min. my 1st visit with really no apology for the long wait. The 2nd visit, still a rather long wait, but better. The 3rd & final visit I got home in my brightly lit bathroom (this salon is not bright) only to find a dark streak across my bangs. I called the next morning, (I was the last appt. that day)& Roxanne was not in, I left a msg. for her w/the receptionist/stylist and told her the streak problem, and never received a call back. So, I tried to cover the streak up the best that I could. It was not worth anymore of my time trying to deal with this salon. Let me say, this is a hip, cute, music filled salon, with pretty people, which I loved. But, after 3 visits, the customer service was just not there for me.
