Inlow's Drive-In

I grew up in Altoona and remember how much everyone loved Inlows and their famous footlong hotdogs. My father was a particular fan. Decades ago I married a boy I met in college and moved to Sacramento, CA. Last year I moved back to Altoona. Today I drove past Inlow's when I was running an errand and decided to order lunch to take home. I hadn't had one of their hotdogs in 40 years. I couldn't believe how delicious they were! They deserve to be famous for their flavor not just their length. I also ordered soup, potato salad, and cookies. Everything was quite tasty. It is a wonderful, old-fashioned, traditional diner with great food at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and helpful and my order was ready in minutes. I will be driving to Duncansville often to pick up lunch for us. Great food, great price, great service. Try,it, you'll like it . . . .

I have been going to Inlow's for about half a century, mostly for foot long hot dogs done about any way a person could embellish them. I cannot recall ever ordering any other main course! I do get shoestring fries w/ my meals. Milk shakes are great too, many varieties, about as many as varieties of the hot dogs. They FINALLY got inside rest rooms. About time. Service is average. Prices are fair. They do have other items but it's the foot long dogs that I love.

I have come here since 1950s & so much has changed -- all except their wonderful foot-long hotdogs. While they post many varieties I always recall their willingness to put whatever customer wants on the dog.I cannot recall having ever gotten anything at Inlow's other than foot-long hotdogs altho they list many other things. Their shakes round out a wonderful lunch.
