While individual plans vary, most patients will wear a set of trays for one to two weeks at a time. For treatment to be effective, patient compliance is key. It is important to wear trays for at least 22 hours a day. With aligners, patients have the flexibility to continue eating a normal diet (unlike with braces). However, they must take out trays before eating and brush their teeth before putting them back in. Keeping up with dentistry is also important during treatment. We recommend maintaining biannual dental cleanings and exams.

X-rays
Before your initial exam begins, we will request current panoramic X-rays from your general dentist. If necessary, we will update them with our advanced digital X-rays, which use less radiation than traditional X-rays.
