Overall
Above average Dim Sum and Dinner

Koi is one of the higher end Cantonese Chinese restaurants in the area. Having said that, you will pay a premium for the food. The dim sum selection is excellent and quality of food is above average. The dinners are very good especially if you go for the fresh seafood.

Be prepared to wait for a table though because Koi has become very popular.

Overall
Best Dim Sum

This restaurant has the best dim sum this side of the Bay, it is authentic and the food well seasoned. The staff is very helpful if you can't figure out what you want to try, I've been to the sister restaurant in Daly City, Koi Palace, and this is just as good. The restaurant is new and nicely decorated, very busy on the weekends so if you go then be prepared to wait for an hour for a table, faster seating during the week.

Rejected Credit Card

I went to Koi Garden Restaurant nearly once a week since it was opened on Dec 2007. I paid by my Chase Master Card every time without problem. Today (April 05, 2008), the manager of Koi Garden Restaurant rejected my Chase Master Card and stated that they would accept my Chase Master Card if my bill is over US$30.00. I checked everywhere and there was NO notice for this policy at all. I did have an argument with them today since they added an unreasonable charge on my bill. By pointing out their unethical activity and my Chase Master Card was rejected. Unbelievable! BTW, they were violating the Master Card Merchant Rule by doing it.

Food Taste Great, but With Flaws

The chairs are nice and comfy, and tea is hot. Food is good-quality, but the price range of the food is high. In the Yang Chow fried rice, they use the white sauce to cover the shrimp to make it look like it has no poop stuck in it. But when I got home, I saw all the poop in the shrimp and it freaked me out. Service is good, but I ordered a bowl of white rice and they forgot to give it to me and they charged it to my bill.
