They used to have an office in Layton, it is still there, but they do nothing but take your hearing aids. They say they will be back in 48 hours, usually this is not the case. I have had trouble with mine since I got them. Now they tell me they need something that costs $75 per aid. I have to wait another two days in order to pick them up in Layton. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I've been completely happy with the hearing aids I got at Harris Hearing and with their service. Initially, it took a while to get just the right tips so that the hearing aids were a comfortable fit for my ears, but the staff was very helpful and patient with this process. In 4 years I've twice felt that my hearing was deteriorating more and asked for my hearing to be re-tested. Sure enough, it was deteriorating more than would have been expected, and the resulting adjustments to my hearing aids improved their functioning. I've found the Harris Hearing team to be extremely professional in all of their dealings with me, but I also find them to be genuinely caring about helping as many people who need hearing aids as possible. In other words, their business model (in which they do their own state-of-the-art manufacturing, thus eliminating all the middle-men) supports their intent to keep their prices low enough to be able to serve a bigger percentage of the hearing-impaired population.

My Mother and I went to Harris Hearing just over 2 years ago. We both bought into the idea that hearing aids made in Utah serviced in Utah was a great idea. Sad to find out over those years that that isn't the case. Mom always complained her didn't work. I kept telling her to replace the batteries. When i went in to check on her I replaced her batteries, she still complained. I have had similar complaints with mine as well. Having taken mine in for checkups continually. Harris even lost one set of hearing aids that they were suppose to be repairing. They did replace them but problems still existed. Over the two years I had to have my right ear aid replaced three times and left once due to the loss. Id not recommend Harris Hearing to anyone. Robert Gillett
