This is a beautiful office where the staff is friendly and upbeat. My Britesmile treatment went really well and I'm looking forward to getting Invisalign next year. Dr. Martin is the best!

Dental Examination
Raquita is an expanded function dental assistant from the south suburbs of Chicago. She received her dental assistant certificate from Olympia College. Raquita enjoys helping others achieve a perfect smile and optimal oral health, and helps out our troops on the weekends by assisting with their dental examinations. She strives to provide excellent service and care to each and every patient.
X-rays
Upon arriving, patients will be greeted warmly at the front desk and then escorted back from the waiting room so that we can capture a full set of dental X-rays. During this process, one of our hygienists will enjoy taking the time to get to know you and your reasons for visiting. Dr. Albert or Dr. Snow will then arrive, introduce themselves, and sit down to discuss all of the hygienist’s findings with you. They’ll also be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Oral Cancer Screening
VelScope is an advanced lighting technology that is used to screen for oral cancer. The lights within the room will be dimmed and a visual examination of the mouth is made using the VelScope examining tool. The process is pain-free, quick, and easy; abnormal tissue that may be at risk appears white under the light while healthy tissue appears dark. Detecting potential problem areas early greatly reduces the risk of disease developing within the tissue, and so the VelScope is an extremely effective and important tool.

Teeth Cleaning
If you have a removable denture, you should take it out at night for cleaning. Brush the denture using a soft-bristled toothbrush. Then, store your denture in water or cleaning fluid overnight. If you have healthy teeth remaining, you should continue to brush and floss them after removing your denture and before replacing it each day. If you do not have any healthy teeth remaining, you can gently brush your gums to remove plaque buildup or use an antimicrobial mouth rinse. Patients who have implant dentures can brush them like healthy natural teeth. You may need to use a specialized flossing tool like a water flosser to remove plaque buildup between dentures and soft tissue to avoid gum disease that can lead to dental implant failure. You should also visit our office twice each year for checkups and teeth cleanings.

She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa and then received her dental degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. Immediately after, Dr. Stylski completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the VA Medical Center in Long Beach, CA. She then decided to return home to Chicago to be close to family and friends.
