Wow. I was surprised at the comments. They claimed that this place was a ghost town. Here it is 2016 and it's still a ghost town. We've been twice now. Service is slow. Took awhile for the food to come out and we were the only patrons there in the place. I will say that their s'mores dessert is delicious. But the atmosphere is just not there for this place. I'm surprised they stay in business with little customers.
FAIL- Like the other reviewers I too had experienced other 'Eat at Joe's' (EAJ) in other states and cities and I was incredibly underwhelmed. The EAJ in Douglasville, GA was HORRIBLE. We just moved here and went to eat out about a week ago. Eating here made me question moving here altogether. SERIOUSLY, is this to be expected at every restaurant in D'ville? We shouldn't have to drive 25 min to ATL every time we decide to eat out. Once we got in there I noticed only 3 other families/groups & 1 woman at the bar there eating. The place was a ghost town. If the reviewer before me said it was empty in 2006 & it's still open in 2014 how the heck are they paying the bills? Not to mention it was overstaffed, yet it took them at least 20 min to get the bartender to come serve our table. Yes the bartender. She was nice and took our order, then put it in the computer and went back to attending the one other table she had while also bartending to the one single women at the bar. Our food took about 30-40 minutes to come out and when it did I was shocked at my plate. Back in the day when I used to go to EAJ the food wasn't over the top expensive and you were full at the end of your meal. I ordered chicken strips and there were literally only 4 strips placed in a star position over a bed of fries. The strips were only the size of a pinky finger and I'm not exaggerating. I was waiting for a hidden camera to pop out, b/c they were about $11.72!!! Almost $12 for 4 pinky sized chicken strips?! WTF? I was already ticked off and it only got worse once I took a bite. The strips were downright disgusting. I still can't believe it all. Either the Douglasville, GA has no contact with the corporate office or they just don't care b/c this is NOT the EAJ I remember. I WILL NEVER GO BACK.
