This has been our 'special' restaurant for 55 years. We pass it by on the way to Greshville Antiques, Dancing Tree in Boyertown and Zerns (closed sadly) in Gilbertsville. Merritt's Clock Shop and Under The Sun antiques are nearby; we've been shopping at the clock shop for 40 years, Tina Landis' shop since they opened. The duck is incredible. my wife and mother-in-law like the lamb. I like almost everything, but we occasionally just have Creme Brulle or Key Lime pie and coffee. Sometimes we go for dinner, shop, and stop for dessert on the way home.

This is a really cute, historical place on what was probably a major crossroad in 1801. There is planty of parking and the staff are extremely friendly. The rooms are obviously VERY old and have only been modernized a bit, in keeping with the age of the structure. They are very clean and nicely decorated. The room prices are very reasonable.
Downsides- there isn't always a bathroom in your room. You may have to share.
The front rooms have a lot of traffic noise- which wasn't a problem in 1801.
The food is a bit pricy, but it's delicious and there are specials and happy hours that take the edge off the price.

Provided by SuperpagesMy wife and I have eaten here on four seperate occasions and the food is phenomenal. I was actually referred to this place after speaking to a work colleague about some where nice to take my wife for our anniversary. He couldn't have offered a better place. My wife asked me if we could go here for her birthday on Saturday, of course I said, Yes.

Provided by SuperpagesPlease think twice before eating here. The food was obviously prepared a day or two in advance and then microwaved. Salmon was completely raw, the spare ribs (For which they are known for) was actually FROZEN on the inside! Waited 1.45hrs for dinner to arrive in shifts along with the raw food. This establishment was suggested by my in-laws who have been dining there for years - obviously things have changed!

Provided by SuperpagesWhat happened to this place it is a joke. Our order of a full rack of ribs was the smallest thing i have ever seen. I would never eat at this place again even if it were free.
