Family Practice
Wyoming offers two Family Medicine Residency programs in the state, and Memorial Hospital serves as one of the rural sites for these programs. Physicians who complete their rural family medicine rotation at Memorial Hospital work side-by-side with our physicians and providers to better understand the nuances of rural medicine. Annual well-child appointments are recommended for children beginning at three years of age. During the appointment, the provider will review your child's physical and emotional development, and offer guidance on or administer immunizations. An added plus to scheduling annual well-child with your child's provider is you can also have them fill out any required physical forms for your student's planned activities for the school year.

Our team recommends that patients access routine screenings such as regular breast exams, pap smears, and pelvic examinations. Obstetrics
The cardiopulmonary department at Memorial Hospital provides services 24 hours a day. All providers are Wyoming licensed, nationally certified, and hold BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and Stable certifications. Members of the cardiopulmonary team work with patients on the patient floor, in the wellness department, doctors' offices, emergency department, surgery, obstetrics and nursery departments, and intensive care unit.

Upon his return to the States, Dr. Lyford was stationed at the Munson Army Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas He completed his internal medicine residency as well as a fellowship in gastroenterology at Kansas University Hospital. Dr. Lyford moved to Casper, Wyoming, in 1974 where he practiced at the Wyoming Medical Center until his retirement in 1996. In addition to his duties on the hospital board, Dr. Lyford is a member of the Lions, a master gardener and a wood craftsman—having built kitchen cabinets for over 30 Habitat for Humanity homes. Dr. Lyford and his wife, Joyce, live on acreage outside of Glenrock, Wyoming.

Effective May 1, 2019 Memorial Hospital of Converse County brought the entirety of the clinic into our network of providers making them a part of our health care community! Central Wyoming Neurology, located in Casper, will continue to provide diagnosis, treatment, and management of many neurological conditions, infusion therapy, and MRI imaging for patients across Wyoming while now being considered a Regional Clinic for Memorial Hospital of Converse County.

Matt Dammeyer joined Memorial Hospital in 2019. He earned his Master’s and PhD degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, WY and started his career in healthcare with a private practice in Norfolk, NE. Matt was most recently the CEO of the Alaska Psychiatric Institute (API) in Anchorage and, concurrent with this position, owned a consulting firm focused on assisting clinical practices, with education for acute psychiatric care. He spent a large amount of his professional career at the Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna, Alaska. Leaving private practice in 2001, he took on roles with ever-increasing degrees of leadership input and responsibility including Clinical Director/Staff Psychologist, Director of Behavioral Health, Assistant Administrator, and finally Chief Operating Officer, a position he held for seven years.

Previous treatment using radiation therapy. Women who had radiation therapy to the chest or breasts (such as treatment of Hodgkin's lymphoma) before age 30 have a higher risk of getting breast cancer later in life.

Dr. Eric Schubert also comes from many years experience in Neurosurgery, most recently with Mountain View in Casper. Along with Sara Thronburg, FNP-C, Dr. Schubert holds neurosurgical clinics in Casper, Douglas, Riverton, Lander, Gillette, and Rawlins. Dr. Schubert performs surgeries in Douglas routinely and see patients from all over the region, assisting them with their concerns.

Memorial's Hospitalists coordinate patient care with other physicians, nursing staff, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, registered dietitian and all other disciplines throughout the hospital. The Hospitalist is available 24/7 to manage patient care, answer questions from other members of the patient's care team and visit with family about their loved one's care.

The Allergy and Sinus Center at Memorial Hospital specializes in just that—finding our patients relief from their specific allergen. It all starts off with an office visit and an allergy test to help Dr. Freeman zero in on the exact cause of your stuffy nose, watery eyes or itchy rash. Once the specific allergens are identified a custom serum is created and injected over the course of months designed to decrease your immune response. Allergy testing and treatment is available at our clinics in Douglas and Casper.
