This location of the DCPL closed several years ago when the operation moved to the current location on Henslee Drive.

This is a very good library for the size town in which it is located, and has a very dedicated staff. It is a wi-fi hotspot and also has several desktops with high-speed access, for which there is usually a waiting list and a thirty-minute time limit during peak hours. The building was formerly the home of AT&T's directory assistance operation for the 615 area code in the pre-deregulation days, and hence is built of thick reinforced concete which was designed to be fire and earthquake resistant, but the result is both inaesthetic and also means the building is too inherently damp to be a good long-term repository for paper documents. Movie collection is still pretty light on DVS's and heavy on VHS's.
