Overall

If this is the old Louisiana Gumbo that started out on Woodward near Alexandrian in the Wayne State area, this is great restaurant that has continue to strive through hard times and is coming back with a new restaurant. I wish them luck and plan to visit both stores real soon. Remember a few of the cooks that were at the Woodward site.

The food if pretty darn good. They have a great menu and have vegetarian beans/rice just for the me.The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star is because it's not a sit-down eatery with wait staff. If they did, it would be a line out the door!
