Eve's Downtown Gourmet

Parking is difficult and when I see the owner is parking his "$78,000" Cadillac directly in front of the store it tells me he'd rather park out front so his customers have to walk a distance. Employees of a business always should leave the closest spots for customers.
Also, when I saw the way he acted on Parking wars, both him and his employee believe they should be exempt from our laws because they own a store. They also sell fruit for $20. a piece....dolt

Eve's is just OK and their produce leave a lot to be desired. If my review was just about the store (I would probably give it betwen 2 and 3 stars). However like many before me, I was appaled by the owner's cameo on Parking Wars. He is an egregiously self-important misogynist. He spoke to the lady like she was common trash for simply doing her job. I will never spend another dime there!

Stay away from this shop. Rude staff, poor quality food items and very expensive. The health board should shut this place down, or atleast force them to fumigate for the roaches. I got my items home and there was a cockroach in the bag. I complained to the owner and he actually blamed me for the bug in the vag from their store. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this place......!!! They got one star because I had to put sonething, there was no negative stars and you can't leave it blank !

Saw the owner on Parking Wars TV show. Says he shouldn't have to pay the parking meter because he owns the business it's in front of. Rude, arrogant and thinks he's better than his customers that have to pay to park. Bad way to do business.

Rude to the lady with the parking authority. The owner thinks he's above the law and can park where he wants to. Then treats the woman like garbage. I wouldn't shop there for nothing.

Eve's is the best market I've been to in Detroit. Eve, the owner, treats my girlfriend and me like family. They truly value their customers. They have a great selection that almost always meets our needs, and if they don't have something, they'll stock it for us. They have all of the essentials and their new produce rivals what you'll get at Whole Foods. Don't know what we'd do without them.

Eve's is providing a fantastic service to those of us who live downtown. They work hard to order and stock items that we request and my boyfriend and I have always been treated like family.

The owner is very egocentric.

Saw this guy on parking wars, What a yutz! The owner and employees park in front of the store, where does he expect his customers to park? Oh wait, there were no customers.

I just saw the owner on the show Parking Wars. He is an absolute idiot. Just the way he acts will keep me from patronizing his store!!

I kept trying to stop here but some douche in a black SUV took up a spot and didn't pay his meter. From what I see the produce was low quality anyway.
