Service

Wonderful service and product availability. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Staff was able to identify a disease on one of my palnts and recommended a successful treatment.
As to the complaint about delivery charge, it has nothing to do with "redlining." I happily paid the same fee to my home in Grosse Pointe. This is an extra service fee.

Overall

Absolutely awful service, we are new to the area and went to Ailemons as they came highly recommended. We paid $1900 in advance for 10 arborvitae and a maple to be planted over 1 month ago with the assurance that someone would come to our home and decide where to plant the trees etc within 10 days. We didn't hear anything from them, we called after the 10 days they said it'll be another week, 4th week in still no word for them so we went in and got our money back. Wont ever shop there again.

Great service. Stock items not found at big box stores. In responce to the negitive reveiw about charging $25.00 to deliver 3 miles from store,...I'm not sure where you wanted them to go, but 3 miles from the store is what I'd could call "Hazzard pay" . You may be lucky they even deliver in the city of Detroit. You may be a great person, but getting to your house could be like driving through Iraq. I personally service Detroit in my work and some streets are like a war zone. So don't blame Allemon's. Be thankful they would even come out. Besides, you think it should be free or something? $25.00 is cheap when you consider the cost of insurance, gasoline, wages, overhead. People don't relize how much it costs a business to offer delivery. They think,"It's only 3 miles. $25.00 is cheap to pay someone for 1/2 hour of their time.
