Guest parking is an issue. Actually, there is NO designated visitor parking. BEWARE, Alpine Auto Recovery will tow you if you park in a retail spot! Alpine charged me $275.68 to get my car back. They patrol this lot on a regular basis looking to pop someone for nearly $300 in towing charges. They will find someone too (like me) because there is no other place to park. Unethical, and the prices they (Alpine) quote over the phone are lower than the actual price they charge at the impound lot. I found out the hard way. If you do get towed, make sure you bring plenty of extra cash so you are not surprised, like I was.

My Fiance and I were very hesi...

My Fiance and I were very hesitant about moving in here in Dec 2010 due to the reviews (we also had been burned in an apt in the tech center.) So were were nervous...after viewing the property 3 times and seeing many many other house, condos, apts, we signed a year lease.

it is now July 2011 and things are going well. They kept telling us there is "concrete between each apt, they are very sound proof" turns out I think there really may be. When we close the windows we here nothing. The building does seem to be built well. Let me also say we do not live by the pool courtyard (im sure it is louder there,) we live in the south courtyard.

We chose an end unit on the 5th floor, so we only have one shared wall. The only down fall is, if you live in the last unit, you have to walk there!

Gym is just fine, can get busy; amenities are nice and location is great for busy bodies like us.

There are a ton of dogs here, the new astro turf grass is self cleaning so it never really smells. For the most part people are good about picking up after their pets.

Everyone is nice and mostly keeps to them self. On the first few warm nights of summer people were naturally happy and a little loud but nothing to cry about. They offer 24 hour patrol so if an apt is really loud just give a call.

Along with the other posts, people can have a hard time getting the trash out. Odd

Hope this helps! FYI, we are 27, 29

If you are truly considering ...

If you are truly considering this place, here is my advice. BEFORE you take a tour, hear the lies of the leasing agents, go on a Saturday (during summer) and visit the pool in the late afternoon (3-9 pm). You can get in if you wait by the gate for someone to open it. Don't worry about someone asking you "Do you live here?" and not being able to get in. Those rules of security do not apply here. In fact, wait by ANY door and walk around WITHOUT a leasing agent to see where they don't take you. Do you like lots of trash bags next to your elevator? If the answer is yes, get an apartment on the 3rd or 4th floors. Some idiots who cannot locate the trash chute just put their Kitchen Trash bags next to the elevator. Poor drunken babies can’t walk 10 feet to properly dispose of the trash. If you like drunk, 19 year olds playing corn hole EXTREMELY LOUD, screaming- this is your perfect new home. This is absolutely the worst apartment complex that I have ever seen. The main problem is VERY poor management. The staff will talk in circles around the truth, like politicians. There is NO guest parking whatsoever. The garage door has been broken for months, but if you lose your "garage door opener" it is roughly a $50 fine. Our friends do not come over anymore since the implementation of towing and the police ticketing Acoma, there literally is nowhere they can park WHATSOEVER. Forget maintenance respecting your privacy. They come whenever they want and sometimes do not finish the job! If you complain, they do not like it. We complained and the maintenance guy got mad at us. He left a note stating he could not fix what was broken, because it was our fault. Nice. They do send the entire complex surveys, but this year, they did not send the results. Hmmmm I wonder if it was so bad they couldn’t share with us? The pool is overrun by drunk college students playing corn hole and volleyball all weekend. Not exactly a quiet, relaxing day at the pool. I try to get there early and leave before the idiots wake up and Shake off their hangovers. Supposedly, each resident is allowed 2 guests per apartment. They even give you this "Amenities Pass" which supposedly allows you and 2 guests to use the gym, clubhouse, coffee machine, and pool. It’s actually just a flimsy key chain decoration that you might as well toss. The purpose of this pass was to eliminate large parties at the pool (they still happen every day that there is sun) and abuse of the clubhouse. Just give it back to them and ask if they have EVER checked people for it. Be sure to give AMPLE notice if you plan to move out at the end of your lease. If you miss the 60 day window, the fines are in the thousands just to decide 50 days in advance. If you get on the elevator, in the garage and want to go to the 5th floor, it takes you to the roof. Each floor is off by one digit. I think they forgot to use “G” for ground level and it’s messed up. If you get on the elevator on Acoma Street, the floors are correct. I have compiled a questionnaire for you to ask fellow residents of Alexan Broadway Station residents. You can find them on Acoma Street, the retail parking area and mail room by the garage door (which is open because they never fix it anymore).

1.) How long have you lived here? (the longer they have been a resident, the more it grates on your nerves)

2.) Do you like the pool?

3.) Do you have issues with trash?

4.) Do you have issues with noise levels?

5.) What do you think of the management?
