These people are criminals. They fraudulently placed extra insurance charges on my credit card even though I repeatedly declined them. After I discovered the charges, the people at the call center refused to do anything about it unless I brought the car back to the same location or paid a huge one way fee to drop it off elsewhere.

I will never rent from Budget again. Enjoy the $700 you stole from me.

After reading several equally bad reviews for other rental agencies for this airport I was prepared to be unhappy with Budget car rental. . However in spite of the over crowded Budget bus to the rental lot I was pleasantly surprised. Yes the line was long but half of those in the line were groups and not everyone in the group was renting a car but with someone who was.

I waited about 20 minutes and there were 4 agents working and most were smiling and pleasant to the customers. I was not bullied or pressured to buy anything. The agent I dealt with admitted they did have bad reviews when I told her I was apprehensive about renting from them. Without further delay our group of three got into our car and off we went. Car was new and clean and only had 4,000 miles on it. Upon returning the car after a week the agent did a quick walk around inspection and there were no complaints and off we went again. Also the scare of tolls roads is really over blown. I did not use a toll road, there seems to be only one toll road around the outskirts of the city, I did pay a huge toll one time last year while driving a section of the the turn pike in Miami that uses a cash less toll,so I know what a rip off that is. You do not need to use this toll road in Denver to get to the airport in fact I did not even see signs for it. I was not charged an additional fee for anything, even a month later, So all in all I had a pleasant experience. Budget car rental does have several off airport offices, one in the city center... hard to get to and one on Quebec St. but it closes at 2 pm on Saturday. They are several hundred dollars less expensive per week... but through a special deal with Southwest airlines I was able to find the same lower rental fee.

"Your call is important to us" - not true! Good luck trying to get someone to answer the phone here. I let it ring for 10 minutes before I gave up.

We paid for and reserved a rental car for our employee through Expedia and were charged for the car to hold it through the reservation. When our employee showed up to pick up his car at the Denver location, he was told that the car was not reserved and that the only car available was an SUV that cost twice as much and that he would have to pay for it with his credit card. This means that our company was charged three times the amount for a car. Once for the car we were supposed to have reserved, and twice for the expensive vehicle that he was told was the only one available. Very disorganized, our employee noted that the employees were rude and they do not offer what the customer is promised. Please don't waste your time with this rental company. We will no longer be using Budget for our business needs, especially not the one in Denver.

He yelled at over 30 customers that had been waiting over 45 minutes. He's scary crazy. Not just a little. Like cracked right there in front of everyone. O my. In this crazy world of shootings etc he should not be allowed to be near other humans

This was the worst experience ...

This was the worst experience for car rental EVER. My flight got in at midnight and we took the shuttle to the rental place. We received the SUV we reserved and proceeded to the lot to find our car. The lot is outdoors and is not lighted. The only lights were facing the street and not the cars inside the lot. I understand that we should check the car once over before pulling out so my bf and I used our iphones as lighting while we checked the car. I drove to Boulder, Co that night (about 1.5 hr away) and as we pulled into our well-lit hotel garage I immediately saw a window crack at the bottom center of the window pane. We must have missed it because the dashboard is BLACK hence unless you had decent lighting, you'd totally miss a crack in the windshield.

We called budget so many times that night then again that morning--no one ever answers. I then drove all the way back to the airport to report this and trade it in. I was told that this would not be a problem and was asked to fill out an incident report as "standard procedure" so we can trade into another car. Before I left the facility, I asked the counter lady to please make sure I won't be charged later or if this is going to be a problem. She said "no, you received it damaged so we'll just report that as the reason for the exchange."

We checked our 2nd car over and left. We returned the car at our scheduled time with no problems. This was back in January 2012. In May, I received a collection agency mail stating that I owe Budget car rental $350 for a broken windshield. First of all, Budget never contacted me. I told the agency that and they said "well actually, they tried to by post but they sent it to the wrong address however, they gave us your correct one... that's odd, but we'll receive the payment now." WTF?!?

I have since called that budget rental over hundred times with no answer or was transferred via machine to satellite stations. I basically have no way to resolve this matter now since the debt collection agency has it.

One hand does not know what th...

One hand does not know what the other is doing. We called to rent a 15 passenger van. Denver International Airport had one available. We said they must be the last place in town with one, they are hard to come by. Our pick up day arrived and we went to claim the van. The woman at check out stated that she didn't realize they had vans that big. This was our second conversation about the size of the van and our reasons for needing one so big. We got the keys and headed out to the parking lot. Assuming from two extensive and separate conversations specifying 15 passengers, we did not count seat belts until we were back home almost an hour away. That is when we realized there were only 12. I tried to call Budget to see what we could do but no one seemed to know how to get a hold of the DIA Budget car rental place. I spoke with no less than 6 representatives and not one single person had any idea of even a phone number. Finally one did have the managers number. I tried that number for hours only to get a busy signal every time. As long as they get their money, that seems to be all that matters to them. Next time we will get on the three month waiting list at ENTERPRISE CAR RENTAL. Aside from the problems of seating, the van had less than 2000 miles on it and it was filthy. Pop tart wrappers, licorice bits and other food particles, crumbs and garbage. We were disgusted.
