There is always two sides to every story and the negative rating from JustReviewing is an unwarranted and vindictive attack due to her own irresponsibilities.

This was an auction to liquidate an entire nursery and landscaping business that covered 2-3 acres, with well over 200 people in attendance.

JustReviewing signed the same agreement as everyone else that attended the auction, yet she feels that she should be the exception to the rules, which were also verbally stated prior to the start of the auction and clearly explained that once the auctioneer said "Sold," the high bidder is the owner and must watch their own purchases... and to help ensure that their items were still there until the auction was over, no one could remove anything until the end of the auction.

As pointed out, it was after-dark when the auction finally ended and we asked everyone to wait until the next day to retrieve their items. JustReviewing did not even show up until three days later to retrieve her items, while most others (100+ people) showed up the next day to pickup their items. Most others seemed to understand the terms and were there at 11AM, Sunday morning to secure their purchases, yet JustReviewing felt that I should have guarded her items, since she didn't show up until Tuesday afternoon. Then she couldn't seem to understand why we didn't catch the thief that took her items, amongst the 100+ people trying to pickup THOUSANDS of items that were sold.

As she did not make an attempt to retrieve her items and someone may have stole or mistakenly taken her items, she demanded that I refund her money. As neither I nor the Seller took her items and that under the terms of the auction, she was responsible for her own goods, I could not refund her. I made an attempt to contact another bidder that also bought items the same area to see if he mistakenly picked up her purchases, but had not been able to reach him when she returned on Wednesday. She became very argumentative and demanding that I refund her money, as I once again explained that I did not steal her items and could not refund her money. Then she wanted me to sign a statement that she didn't receive her items, which I could not make such a claim, as I don't know if she or someone she sent may have already picked up her items and do not know who may have picked them up. Then things started getting real nasty, as she and her daughter-in-law started screaming, cursing and calling me vulgar names, as well as attempting to incite physical actions by the 300+lbs. daughter-in-law pushing her body into me, as I took the appropriate action to back away and called the police.

Regarding her comment about politeness, she and her daughter-in-law were the rude and obnoxious individuals, as they were screaming and cursing at me, while I refused to respond in the same manner and after their continuance of such rude behavior, I had to call the police to prevent further abuse from these two individuals. Although the daughter-in-law technically assaulted me by bumping into me while she was screaming within inches of my face, I declined to file assault charges as suggested by the officer. Now, just how nice can someone be, to tolerate such abuse and still let them leave without filing charges?

Originally, I did not remember this lady. However, I learned who she was and she had attended one of my auctions over 3-years ago and was also very disruptive and abusive during the course of that auction. Unfortunately, due to the long line of people trying to get registered before the start of this auction, the clerked did not notice the note to refuse registration to this individual. I have taken further action to insure this isn't missed again and that this lady will not attend another of our auctions, due to her own rude and disruptive behavior.

Should she attend a different auction, they may not be as nice as I was when she becomes abusive, which appears to be her general nature.

We bid/won on items, and due to their incompetence, our items were stolen. They did not try and fix the situation even though they told us they were aware that people were stealing. We were out almost $50. They told us that we were responsible for our items, but they wouldn't let us touch them or move them until the auction was over. The auction started at 0900 in the heat and humidity of Texas summer. We had to leave early and we were told by the auctioneer that they stopped the auction at 9pm, and told people not to touch anything until the next day. I feel that the auctioneer could have been more polite and work with us to make the "customer" satisfied.
