My Dad and Wife moved in here on Joyce's recommendation of a friend. After visiting, she and Dad moved in. They really liked it. Joyce was on oxygen in her last days, and Dad took care of here in the independent living area. When she passed on, he stayed in the apartment, settling into a life without her, but many of the neighbors soon became his friends, if not close, friendly neighbors. When I first visited them in the apartment, to my pleasure, this was nicer then my place. They have a bistro and a pretty fancy restaurant, a small common area between the two, a bank in the building, small 7/11 type of store with all the basics. There is a shuttle bus for the seniors to go on outings about once a week. Underground parking for those still with cars. Lots of storage space for items not needed in the apartments. There are four levels of care here, Dad is in the independent living area, there is three other advanced levels of care if a resident requires it. They have constant check ins once a day to make sure they are okay, this is hooked up to the phone in the apartment and rings to have the resident just push a reset and let the nurses know they are okay. My Dad's doctor is in the building twice a week, and wishes his dentist was here too, but that is only a few times a year to go out there. All in all, I wish I was retired so I could move in here too. This place is wonderful.
