Coco's Bistro

I have been to Coco’s Bistro twice. The first was a few years back at a friend’s suggestion for our large group. The service was slow and rude and the food was overpriced for something I felt was ordinary. I passed off the bad experience as a result of our large group.



The second time was the last time. I decided to give Coco’s another try, even though there are many more decent restaurants in Dayton since my previous visit. That night was one of my worst dinning experiences ever. The menu was minimal. The service was slow, cold and rude. When I asked about our entrees to our server I was given a blow off answer. A few minutes later I asked someone who I assumed was the manager and was given another blown off answer. Our entrees came 30 minutes later cold but with that disgusting sat-under-a-heat-lamp-for-way-too-long crust.

Now I can be understanding- I worked as a server in everything from a diner to a high end restaurant in high school and college, but there is a limit. As understanding as I can be, I also understand that some things are inexcusable. The dinning room was not even full and wait staff was standing by idly.



Please don’t pretend to be a decent restaurant in price and then disappoint in every aspect of a dinner service. It’s an injustice to those of us trying to convince friends who live outside of Dayton that dinning out in Dayton is not joke. I was embarrassed for myself and the city of Dayton for suggesting Coco’s.

This is a must visit restaurant. It's fine dining at it's best. I've been here several times and have yet to see one small flaw. The staff is exceptional and the food is even better. I can't get enough of this place.
