Pets Are People Too

They did a beautiful job on my dog's puppy cut! He's so cute, he looks like a puppy again! Fair pricing. The nails were still a little sharp, but they took him back and filed them a little bit more. Apparently he doesn't like his toes touched and was biting at the machine! LOL. Overall, great experience!

Best cuts and dye jobs for your dog! My toy poodle Lola looks like a PERFECT little princess thanks to them!!

Horrible customer service! Last time we took our 2 dogs to Pets are People Too Grooming they took almost 8 hours for a simple bath and nail trim. When we were finally able to pick up our dogs, I asked when they were last taken outside to find out if I should let them visit the grass before getting in the car. They told me that they don't walk the dogs during the time they are there b/c its a liability issue. 8 hours in a cage and no bathroom breaks!!



Because Pets are People Too Grooming is so close to our house we decided to try them one more time today. In order to prevent our dogs from staying there all day with no bathroom breaks we called last week, a full week ahead of time, to schedule a Saturday morning quick visit. When I got there at 9:30am this morning to drop them off we were told that even though we made our appointment last week that they wouldn't be able to finish our dogs until 6pm. WHAT?! When I mentioned it was an appointment set up a week ago and not a walk in they simple told me "Yea, our scheduling doesn't work like that. It's first come first serve and other people dropped their dogs off already." What a joke. Why even do appointments if people that walk in can trump the appointments? The worst part was the fact that she utterly did not care one bit that I was upset and she had more of the attitude of "We don't care if we lose one customer b/c we are busy anyways."



The worst part? She was absolutely ready to take my dog to the back to sit in a cage until 6pm, with zero concern for the fact she would be in there for 9+ hours. It never even crossed her mind to tell me to come back later in the day to avoid the extreme amount of cage time. Then again, with these idiotic scheduling procedures, if my dog isn't there that probably means anyone willing to let their dog sit in a cage for 9 hours would get in the queue ahead of ours.



If they really believe "Pets are People Too" and they treat people with such disregard I would hate to see what happens behind closed doors while we are gone. They obviously don't care about pets well-being with something as simple as a potty break what else can be happening back there? We will be finding a new groomer today and be looking for one that wants us to be happy rather than just someone handing them a bunch of money.

When I went to pick up my dog Daisy (a morkie=maltese + yorkie), they gave me a dog that resembled her, however, I made a comment to them letting them know that I didnt think that was my dog. They kept insisting it was Diasy, and so I left with my supposed Daisy. Fortunately, by the time I got to my car, I had inspected the dog and realized that the dog they gave me didn't have the scar she had recently received from being spaded a few weeks earlier. I immediately proceeded to go back inside the store and told them again that I didnt believe it was my dog. They continued to insist that it was my dog. The pet groomer even came out of the room to reassure me that the dog I was holding in my hands was my dog daisy. Fortunately, I did not give up. After 15 minutes of argueing with them, they finally went back inside the grooming room and found my dog daisy. If it weren't for my persistence, I would have gone home with the WRONG DOG!!! What made me upset was that they didnt believe me and kept insisting that I was wrong. Ask yourself, do you know your dog better than your groomer??? I hope your answer is YES! Thus, "Pets are People Too" should have believed me, the pet owner, rather than insisting that the dog I was holding was in fact my dog.



Then, if you thought things couldnt get worse, they did. The following morning, I realized that my dog Daisy was constantly itching her ear. We later came to find out from her vet that she was suffering from an ear infection. This ear infection was a result of the groomers poor service.



Also, when we dropped off daisy to get groomed, we told them that we'd like for her nails to be cut. Unfortunately, when we were given daisy, her nails were NOT cut.



All in all, this place used to be good (i used to take another pet of mine here), however, due to its recent growth, I truly believe that this is one of the WORST groomers in south florida.
