My First Years Preschool

best preschool. but be warned some bad reviews are from horrible former employees that were fired, but other wise it is a very nice and family friendly school.

My son started at this school when he was 8 months old and graduated his from the VPK program. We had a couple issues along the way but nothing that I would say is serious and he was taken by ambulance once as he knocked himself out when he ran into the slide but they handled it professionally and made all the right decisions.
I will say that my son is now in Kindergarten and thriving! His teacher even said that he must have had a wonderful foundation because he is in the top of the class. I think there are always rough times when you start your kid in daycare - he was sick constantly at the beginning but then he maybe got sick once a year. We went through some rough patches with discipline but I was always able to speak with them and we worked through the issues. I love this school and everything they did for my son!

My experience has been nothing but great for 6 yrs now. My girls are 10 and 6 and love coming here everyday. The teachers are like family and care for the children as such. The children are taught according to the florida curriculum and my children have received many compliments on how much they learned when transitioning to kindergarten. Not only do they teach but also do many fun activities which keeps my kids coming back. They have a very caring staff who I've known for several years and keep the facility very clean. I highly recommend them to everyone!

Love this preschool.. My son has attended for over 5 years, and he still enjoy summer camps. They do different activities, bounce house, water balloons, etc. and fun field trips to the movies, arcades, water park, bowling, etc.
The school is clean and very organized.

My son started VPK at MFYP when we moved to Cooper City, and has been attending aftercare / summer camp off and on there ever since. MFYP has been by far his favorite. The staff is always kind, caring and polite. The summer and spring break programs provide a wide variety of field trips 3-4 times a week, which is amazing considering the cost. We have tried other places (University School - nice but very expensive; JCC - expensive and unless you pay extra for activities, the kids just end up playing videogames after school; Sunshine Aftercare - more like bootcamp than aftercare) and we're happy to go back to MFYP.

I started my daughter in the 2 year old class back in May. I was a little scared as it was her first time in preschool and everyday, she allows me to see it was a great move. Everyone tells me she is very smart for her age and it is because of My First Years. She knows so many words, her alphabet, she is counting and potty trained. I would recommend this school to anyone. Also, their circle time is great!

This daycare was inadequate in providing proper care for my child. My daughter was neglected, and the staff was rude in handling the situation.



She was there for 3 days & got an unexplained bumped on the head with no incident report or anyone having any idea where it came from. She was filthy with food from snack still on her & dirt from playing outside. I asked them if they cleaned the kids up & they said they used wet wipes. I asked if they wash their hands with soap & water & they said no not until they know how to do it themselves. That's so unsanitary!!! That's how germs spread & people get sick! The next day, I was informed that she had scratched a teacher & a kid. However, the incident report read that she scratched herself with a book on her neck. When I got to her, I found her with her hands in a kids puke! I washed her hands immediately & left. The next day was the last straw! I got a call at around 3:30pm stating that my daughter had no more clothes to change into & that I needed to bring extra. I asked why, & then they told me she had been having diarrhea all day. Maybe that should have been the first thing you should have told me & maybe they should have called me the first time she had diarrhea. Well, I get there & she's crying hysterically. She's in only her diapers & shirt. She smells like diarrhea & has a horrible rash on her inner thighs. When I get her home, I see the rash to it's entirety. Her privates are red, raw & yeasty looking. I take her to the doctors & she has an ear infection, yeast infection, diaper rash, & stomach bug. Prior to this my daughter was a healthy, high spirited little girl. Now she was miserable. That was the last time I would ever allow her to be there. On Friday, I withdrew her. The director & assistant were eager to kick her out. When I got there, they already had her things packed & ready to go even though I never called to inform them of my intentions. They were rude to my mother & I as we tried to get their information (name & license number) & even threatened my mom by saying they'd call the cops on her (she's a retired police officer) just because she wanted to get a closer look at their bulletin board that had their license number on it. All in all, in my opinion, I suggest that if you are considering this preschool to consider my situation. It's not worth the aggravation nor the money!!!

This school is great! My son has been attending this school for 3 years and I have never experienced any trouble. They have been super generous with my son and me no matter what the circumstance. My child has learn tremendous amount of things. Close Friends with kids around the same age are impressed with how great his phonological awareness, mathematical skills and more. The staff here are great and did I mention the cleanest school ever!!!!
