Wonderful School!

The Flint Academy is Tarrant County's best kept secret! It is a school that prides itself on molding children with high morals, values, academics and taking on personal responsibility. The Flint Academy is great for children who learn differently. At this school, they have teachers that have personal knowledge of what it takes for a child with ADHD/Dyslexia, etc. to learn. The teaching style is far above that of any regular teaching methods offered. I would strongly recommend this school to any parent!

It doesn't get any better than this!

This will be our third year attending The Flint Academy. My children LOVE school! I remember when I was in school, we couldn't wait for summer to come. My children dread summer coming! They would rather be in school! The Flint Academy is truly a unique and special school. The staff and especially the principal care so much for our children. We were so blessed when we found them! All the teachers and staff are wonderful and the teaching philosophy is outstanding. Not only do children thrive academically, they thrive socially as well. We are so excited to see The Flint Academy grow, and we would love to share all the wonderful benefits with more families. Come and check us out!

Flint Teacher

I've been teaching at the Flint Academy since it opened. I cannot imagine working anywhere else. I love the small class size. It really gives me a chance to get to know each student individually. I see them grow academically, spiritually, socially, and physically. I love my students. They continue to amaze me each and every day.

Great Classical School

I am a teacher at The Flint Academy, and have been there since it opened. The school is small enough to have small class sizes, a director who is very accessible to both teachers and parents, and so that all of the students know each other. However, it is also big enough to have a library, class gardens, a basketball team, a cheerleading team, great field trips, field day, exciting in-class events special events, and other student activities.

I live about 40 miles away from the school, and it is worth the drive to work there. My son is not old enough to attend the school yet, but I plan on enrolling him when he turns three. I want him to attend a school where he is held to high behavioral standards in a loving way, is taught until he masters the material, not just until he receives a 70% passing grade, is given time to participate in activities like cooking and gardening, and is taught to enjoy high quality literature.

A wonderfull and unique school

This is a wonderfull and unique school. My granddaughter attends the kindergarten and just loves it. She can't wait to tell me what she is learning this week. She is reading now and loves to read to me and her grandmother. The school philosophy is that every child is born with a desire to learn. It requires that each teacher develop an understanding of each child's needs and learning styles. They develop lessons for each child at that child's level in each subject. My granddaughter had problems reading, but is very good with other subjects. The teacher worked one on one with her to improve her reading. Did I mention that there are only 12 students per class, no more. My granddaughter's kindergarten class has only 6 students. She gets a lot of personal attention. The atmosphere in the school is calm and happy. The students all seem to like being there. My granddaughter calls it "her" school. The teachers are very professional, they know how to teach. They wear jeans and get down on the floor with the children. They don't just stand at the front of the class and talk. They work with her up close and personal. The principal, Dr. Flint, is very approachable and knows every student personally. We love this school and the people in it.

Disappointed in Flint

We were very disappointed in this school. We feel the information presented to us was fraudulent and that they truly do not treat the children as "eternally significant". We do not recommend this school. We do recommend that you read all the reviews on the internet and ask around before you commit your child to this school.
