Uncle Julio's Fine Mexican Food

We found the food to be excellent and not pricy, however So. California is our comparison. The chips were too thin for our liking, but crisp and tasty. Service was excellent. Ambiance was clean and upbeat. We chose outside dining as it was too noisy inside.

Uncle Julio's is a good Tx-Mex resturant. Very popular. The bad things about it are ... It is very popular, so may have to wait on a table and the menu is a bit pricey. Now the good news. Unclie Julio's the without any question in my mind the very best place for beef Fajita's in Texas. They ought to market their beef marinade. If they did they would make a fortune. Twenty years ago when I first started going to Uncle Julio's they were very reasonably priced. I blame Addison and the Addison store for driving prices up. Still, if you tatste Uncle Julio's beef fahita's, every other fahita you ever eat will seem second best.

My initial impression was that of a clean establishment with an upbeat atmosphere. While the prices were a bit higher than other Mexican food restaurants in the area, we stayed as Uncle Julio's came recommended by our hotel. It's unfortunate that upon receiving our meal, everyone was disappointed with the poor quality of our meals, the taste, and one meal was still semi-cold. We were extremely disappointed. HOWEVER, the REAL disappointment when the bill arrived. Not only were we charged .50 per topping PER ENCHILLADA, but this was not disclosed up front! Needless to say, it cost $78.91 for two adults and two children to eat lunch!!! Am I the only one that finds this a bit crazy???
