Steam King

I was supposed to have an appointment between noon and 5 on a Sunday afternoon . I cleared off all the small things that I could lift and put them on the non carpeted surfaces, and by 3:30 called the church and told them that it looked like I would not be there at 5 o'clock to volunteer. Like most people I live a pretty busy life and could have used those 5 hours to go grocery shopping and run other errands. I think it is incredibly rude that they could not have at least picked up the phone and called me. If for example the truck broke down, I am a pretty understanding person. But I think it is so unprofessional to not even give a client a phone call.

I give this company ZERO...that's right ZERO stars. We bought this for $49 on Crowdsaving on 12/4/2013 and as of today 12/31/2013 they are no longer honoring any vouchers bought from Crowdsavings! John at DFW Steam King, told us that they have been having problems obtaining money from Crowdsavigns and that we could buy a Groupon or living social deal for $89. Well, gee thanks John! All I need to do is fork out more money for something I've already paid for. The problem here is, they should honor the vouchers already bought, stop using Crowdsavings in the future and take Crowdsavings to claims court. They should not PUNISH the consumer and perspective new clients...that’s just bad business. This is a matter between DFW Steam King and Crowdsavings and should have no bearings on the consumers which are falling victim to FRAUD. I sincerely hope that no one uses this business and I hope they falter and cannot rebuild. I for one am an advocate for small business as I own one. However, when you do not honor services already purchased then you are running a bad business. I cannot believe a company would actually treat a consumer this way. When I told him we would call the BBB, he told me I should call the BBB on Crowdsavings. I understand his frustration with not getting what is owed to him, but what about what's owed to me. I will be getting a refund from Crowdsavings, but that does not justify the actions by DFW Steam King. They are having a problem with a vendor and taking that out on their consumers. How horrific would that be if we all ran our businesses that way? Please think twice before purchasing your groupon or living social deal with this company. Who knows what they will tell you.
