Salon On BISHOP

I HAD nice curly, healthy hair until I went there. I was lead to believe by Stephanie that if I let her to do a "keratin" treatment- it would take away the frizz & make my curls look smooth & silky. Time & time again-I asked her: WILL THIS TAKE MY CURLS AWAY? Because if it does-I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS. Stephanie assured & "promised" my hair would not be damaged. After my 3rd visit, I agreed. As she started putting the product in my hair, I asked again if all would be okay. Her response, "Yes, I promise, your curl will bounce back". Well - guess what? IT DID NOT! I could not of been more specific & direct w/her from the 1st time I walked into that salon. I was happy w/my hair as I had switched over to sulfate free shampoo, air dried my hair & used minimal product. 8 months down the drain because Stephanie assured & promised this product would moisturize & not harm my hair. Now I have greasy, limp hair & a dry scalp since the owner tried washing the product out by using the clarifying shampoo over 4 times in 1 sitting. After my initial call to Stephanie, the owner called & said this product would RELAX the curl & frizz. She gasped when I told her I was told differently. I was assured time & time again this treatment was taking the frizz out of my hair, moisturize my hair, make it shiny & leave the curl in. It wasn't until I mentioned Stephanie's assurances, that she even considered returning my money. I let her know I had been very SPECIFIC w/Stephanie about not wanting to damage the curl in my hair every time she mentioned this product. 8 months wasted, my hair is ruined & who knows if my curl will return. The owner remarked when this product finally washes off in 6/8 months, the curl will not return because they used a RELAXER. I have NEVER written any reviews, but after my experience here I just had to. BEWARE & turn away from here. It is obvious they don't research the products they offer & assure people w/curly hair they know what they are doing. THEY.DO.NOT!

Pamela is the BEST! I've been going to her for over 3 years and my hair has never been more healthy. I really enjoy the salon's friendly atmosphere, everyone is so welcoming.

Ask for Pamela!. She's been cutting and coloring my hair for years. She is wonderful. Prices reasonable. Flexible hours.

I felt extremly welcome as soon as I walked in the door, every staff member greeted me with a smile. When i went in my hair was to the middle of my back, I left with the cutest short cut I could have ever imagined. My color was on point, she did exactly as I asked. They also feature art from local artist which I thought was pretty cool since I fall in that category, the salon is bright and full of color. Great music, complimentary wine, and friendly people make for a great time.
