Great Taste

I had the experience of eating at Elaine's for the 1st time 2 weeks ago. Being Jamaican, I was a little sceptical because there are very few places where I find really good West Indian Food. I must say I found it there, from the bowl of soup to the ginger pineappe drink and the main course. I even had to leave with 2 patties and a slice of sweet potato pudding which I enjoyed later in my hotel room. The wait staff was friendly and attentive.

Way to go Elaine !

Food and Service

Elaine's has relocated to a brand new building a few blocks from the original location. The food is just as good as it was at the last location. The King Fish is my favorite. The fish is very fresh, you have a choice of how mild or hot you would like your fish served. I prefer the hot, because in intensifies all those wonderful exotic spices that Elaine's is known for.The Ox-tails are a treat in themselves, wonderfully tender and delicious. the side dishes of beans, rice and cabbage stand alone by themselves. The wait staff are very attentive and cordial. They make you know that they appreciate your business. Dining at Elaine's will make you think that you are on a island.
